Flashbacks (ZARRY AU)

PART 8

Harry wasn't supposed to go to see Zayn.

He planned on not going to the pizza house to give his little revenge on Zayn but as time ticks by, Harry's insides can't take it. When he saw Zayn three days ago, Harry hasn't been sleeping well since.

He can't stop thinking about his hazel eyes and how manly Zayn had become. Zayn aged like wine as Harry can see. He wasn't supposed to feel this way, he wasn't supposed to feel these butterflies in his stomach. The right feelings he should feel are anger and hate. Zayn made you like a fool back in high school! He left you hanging and didn't became his hero like he'd imagined.

When 3PM strike, Harry's plan was to stay at his home office and just rest. He'd been working non stop all day...lining up orders and finishing the dresses. He went to his room on his little apartment inside his office and lied down. He tells himself to get some sleep and just dream away but when he closes his eyes, Zayn's face appears. Harry gasped as he got up and sat from his bed "UGH Harry what are you doing? You shouldn't be feeling all bad for not seeing him! You deserve to act like this after what happened back then" Harry said to himself. He ruffled his curls and heavily sighed "Maybe Niall's right? Maybe its time to close this chapter..." Harry added as he looked ahead and decided to meet Zayn.

And here he is now. Standing inside the pizzeria.

Stepping inside gave so much flashback on Harry. He remembered the times when him and Zayn hangs out after classes, his dad would offer them variety of pizza flavors for free. He remembered the time Zayn and him planned on designing their walls together. He remembered the time Zayn asked him to go to the spring dance...where he said he'll protect but ended up getting hurt instead. Harry's heart ache again. All these flashbacks are hurting Harry!

"Hi Harreh" Harry's eyes met Zayn's and gosh, Zayn's hazel eyes are making Harry's knees weak! They're too beautiful! "Glad you could make it"

"Yeah. Sorry for being late, I got caught up at work..." Harry reasoned "Its okay. I mean, you're a busy person. I understand" Zayn smiled as Harry's heart gave a loud thump "NO NO You're not feeling this Harry Styles! You're no longer high school to feel this way to Zayn!" Harry's mind shouted "Um...take your seat....I'll get the menu for you" Zayn led Harry to an empty seat and after that, Zayn went to the counter to get the menu.

Harry eyed the place and the painting on walls looks brand new. Zayn must have repainted them.

Seeing the paintings on the walls, Harry is impressed. Zayn's talent in art really advanced...his paintings are beautifully made. Maybe that's why what lured him to but his spiral painting.

Harry was in awe with the paintings when Zayn returned with a menu "Here you go, our new menu" Zayn said as Harry looks at Menu and back at Zayn "Do you still have the tuna pesto pizza?" Harry asked as Zayn scratched his head "We no longer serve it but for you....we can make an exception!" Zayn grinned as he went back to the counter to tell his dad that Harry wants tuna pesto pizza. Zayn came back seconds later and sat across to Harry. They were both so quiet and Harry's making his best not to make eye contact to Zayn.

While Zayn, he's thinking what would be the best approach. Should he just apologize instantly? Or create a speech? Zayn sighed, just apologize quickly so that this will over with. So Zayn did just that.

"So—" Zayn started as he gave a small cough "Um....Thank you for meeting me" Zayn added as Harry's eyes met his "The thing is, I called you because I wanted to....wanted to uh—" Zayn paused. Wow, this a lot harder than he'd imagine. Zayn gulped as he can see that Harry's so quiet and just staring at him...just like when they were in high school.

Zayn rubbed his nape and cleared his throat "I wanted to apologize to you" Zayn said straightforward as Harry's eyebrow raised

"Apologize?"
