Harry groggily opened his eyes the next day.
Yesterday's happenings was overwhelming to him. First, he lied to Zayn for forgiving him. Secondly, he felt Zayn's warm hands over his forehead that brings back familiar feelings. And thirdly, Liam's unexpected reaction.
Harry feels like he's back to high school all over again.
But Harry remembered what Niall told him, that he is much stronger and can take care of himself now.
High school was over and Harry lives far from it.
Harry got up from his bed and went to take a shower. Showering took longer because he wanted to stay longer there til his skin wrinkles. After showering, he got dress into his usual get-up, white button up polo, black suit and skinny slacks. He went to the mirror and fix his curls after that, he went out of his small apartment and went to his glass desk, looking through his agenda for today.
Harry grabbed his tablet and scrolled through his notes and what needs to take priority on finishing the dresses until he heard his Cisco phone beeped that's on the side of the desk, the yellow light blinking. Harry reached for it and click the answer button "Yes?"
"Good morning Sir, someone named Zayn Malik is here to see you?" Hearing Zayn's name, Harry's widened and he can feel his blood went cold "Zayn? Malik?"
"Yes, he said he brought delivery" The lady said as Harry's heart beat quickens "Should I send him up?" She asked as Harry started to panic. What is Zayn doing here?
"Sir?"
"Uh yes, sorry. Tell him I'll meet him there. Thank you" Harry answered as the lady replied an okay and hang up the phone. Harry took a deep breath and composed himself "Calm down Harry. Calm down" Harry said to himself as he grabbed his door key and exited his office.
When he's riding down the elevator, Harry's all panicky, at least on the inside.
Zayn's here and he's not ready to see him again. Or is he?
As the elevator sounded indicating that he's already on the ground floor, Harry's heart beat suddenly thumps. He's going to see Zayn again and he doesn't know how he'll react this time.
He walked out of the elevator, slowly walking towards the reception area and when he reached the Pillar near the reception area, he slowly peeked through and saw Zayn, his back facing him. Harry took his moment to admire Zayn from his behind and gosh, Zayn has sexy tattoos on his neck as well
"Good morning Sir!" Harry's body jolted hearing one of the employees greeted him. Zayn heard it and spun around seeing Harry nervously smiling at the employee who greeted him.
Seeing Harry made Zayn smile. Just seeing his nervous smile made Zayn's heart happy.
After the employee continued on her way, Harry look at Zayn again and this time, he's facing him and he's smiling at him. Harry cleared his throat and tidied his suit and walked towards Zayn. He acted like he wasn't just watching him from afar.
He stopped walking when he reached the reception area "Oh Good morning sir, this is Zayn Malik" the lady from the desk said as Harry nodded "And what is your business here?" Harry questions as Zayn smiled widely and showed him the paper bag on his hands "I brought breakfast!" Zayn cheery said as Harry's inside quivered "You...you brought breakfast?" Harry softly asked as Zayn nodded "Yeah, was hoping we could share it?" Zayn asked as Harry's heart can't beating like crazy inside his chest!
The lady from the reception suddenly gave out a giggle as she's enjoying the sight. Harry glance at the lady and back at Zayn "Come with me..." Harry said as he started to walk. Zayn wave a hand at the lady who gave him a wide smile before he followed Harry.
Harry went to the employee's lounge and when he got there, thank god there's no one around. He went inside and waited for Zayn and when Zayn got inside, he found an empty table and put down the food "Okay Zayn. What are you really doing here?" Harry sternly asked "I told you, I brought breakfast" Zayn answered as Harry groaned "Seriously Malik, cut the crap! What do you want? I already accepted your apology and forgave you...what else do you want?" Zayn stopped arranging the food as Harry suddenly burst out "If you came here to ruin my life again, please don't" Harry softly added "I don't want to go through it again" Harry covered his face with his hands as Zayn put down the paper bag and slowly walked towards Harry. As he stood inches apart from Harry, he slowly raised his arms and put them on Harry's shoulders and gave him a hug "Harreh....I'm sorry. I know you don't want me back but, I wanted to repay you for what I've did back then" Harry's entire being shivered from feeling Zayn's warmth from his hug and this is another level of closeness.
"I will apologize to you over and over again until you're going to sincerely and genuinely forgive me. I want to be with you again, to be friends" Harry's heart beat went crazy as he can feel Zayn's hug tighten "I've missed you...so much" Zayn softly added as Harry's just lost it, he can feel his knees weakening and he can feel his heart beat through his ears.
He hates to admit it, but Zayn really makes him weak.
Zayn slowly removed his arms on Harry's shoulders as Harry raised his head to look at Zayn. Zayn also stared back at Harry as he slowly leaned his forehead unto Harry's and closed his eyes "I just wanted to gain back what I lost" Zayn whispery said "I just want to earn you again, Harreh" he added a whisper. Harry didn't have any words to say but he just leaned in to Zayn's touch, and savored the moment.
"Harry??? They said you're here—" Harry's eyes opened and peeked on Zayn's side and seeing Niall from the doorway, he instantly pushed Zayn away. Zayn on the other hand, moved away from Harry hearing Niall who's staring at them with eyes big like pingpong balls "Oh" Niall only said seeing his Boss and Zayn so close and intimate. Harry tidied his coat and his curls and smiled at Niall "Oh sorry, you remember Zayn, right? He was just here to uh...." Harry gulped thinking what to say next "To uh...."
"Just bringing breakfast" Zayn barged in with a smile "You two can share...." He added as he walked towards the table where he put the paper bag "I'm gonna run. Got a gallery to open" Zayn said as he face Harry "I'll see you around" he said with a sweet smile before facing Niall "Have a nice day" he said, walking past Niall and through the door. When Zayn left, Niall looks at Harry, waiting for him to explain. Harry rolled his eyes and went to the table where the food Zayn prepared. He looked through the containers as Niall moves beside him "Now don't lie and don't deny! I saw you two this close!" Niall said as he showed Harry his fingers, his pointing finger and thumb sticking together "What was that all about?" Harry sighed as he put back the food containers inside the paper bag "We were just talking"
"Liar Liar pants on fire. Come on Harry, what happened?" Harry stopped arranging the food and slowly looks at Niall "You're right" Harry said as Niall tilted his head to the side "About?"
"Zayn Malik is really my weakness"
