The Journey: Second Ride

After about 4 hours of driving, they decided to stop for food. Before they went to eat they had to do the hard part, agree on where to go.

"I say Wendy's." Will suggested, they all disagreed on that.

"While you guys decide, which will probably take a while, Me and Max are gonna go get drinks from Starbucks." El opened the car door not even letting Max decide if she even wanted Starbucks.

"Okay" Dustin nodded "What about chick-Fil-A?"

Max and El walked off towards the Starbucks.

"I don't want Starbucks." Max frowned.

"Neither do I, I just needed an excuse to get out the car and talk to you privately." El wrapped her arm around Max's.

"What's up?" Max asked.

"Well you obviously know this whole thing going on with Mike." El looked at Max.

"Yes- go on." Max waved her hand.

"And that me and him used to date." El's pauses were making Max impatient.

"Oh my God just get on with it!" Max chuckled.

"I'm paranoid!" El shouted out, causing some people to stare.

Max gave El a blank stare, "What?" She finally asked.

"I'm paranoid." El sighed "Say if Mike did kill his girlfriend and now is this psychopath who enjoys killing women he has dated."

Max let go off El's arm, "your like way over thinking- we are like 300 miles away from where Mike is at the moment and we don't even know if he did yet. And even if he did- why would he go for you."

El shook her head, "Nevermind your probably right, I probably am over thinking.. I do watch a lot of tv." El looked to side, where did all this paranoia come from.?

After 20 minutes they went back to the van, El looked some what happier. So did Max turned out she did want Starbucks.

"So you guys decided where we're going?" Max jumped in the car smiling.

"Yup! Chick-Fil-A!" Lucas smiled back at her.

"Oh my God- I'm so craving chicken now." El looked down at her stomach.

"Hey max-El looked back up to see Max and Lucas kissing.

"Get a room." Dustin rolled his eyes.

"Red and Sinclair are together?" Eddie asked quietly.

Both Will and Dustin gave him a side eye.

"You didn't know that?" El also gave him a side eye weird look.

"No.. I thought Sinclair was to nerdy to get a girlfriend." Eddie let out one loud laugh.

"Should we just go!" Lucas was getting irritated.

"Yup!" Max nodded, as they all hopped out the car.

"I'm starving!" Dustin shouted as him and Eddie ran ahead.

Lucas reached out for Max's hand and kissed her cheek, while Will and El just walked slowly behind them all.

"You seem happier." Will looked at El.

"I am." El smiled.

"Why were you sad in the first place?" Will asked her.

"I wasn't really sad, I just it was just a lot of paranoia and me overthinking stuff." El took a sip of her coffee from Starbucks.

"Is that to do with Mike? Honestly, I'm freaked out about this whole situation to. I mean it just.. I've known him for years. I don't see why he would have a reason to kill somebody." El started to sense a lot of fear coming off of Will.

"You've been freaking out to? But you've looked so happy and Chill all day." El looked confused.

"I just hid it. I didn't want to ruin the holiday with bad vibes." Will looked to the floor.

"I probably should have done that to. I mean how the last trip turned out we should be really trying to make this the best vacation ever." El laughed.

Will laughed to, "Hey- is it just me who's hearing this or do you keep hearing Max and Lucas already talking about kids and stuff."

El's eyes widened, "What- No way. Already??"

"I don't know if they want it now but- I wouldn't be surprised if Max ends up you know." Will put his hand out "can I have a sip of your drink?"

El gave him it, she was still in shock. Max didn't seem like a family type person well a kids person.

"Look. Do you see how much closer they've gotten." Will pointed at them.

Will was right, they had. I mean if they do decide to do that, then El would totally support them through it. It's just- she didn't expect it so soon..

After about 5 minutes of walking they got to the chick-fil-a, they ordered their food and sat down.

"I'm so hungryy" Max leaned her head on Lucas' shoulder.

"Same." Lucas put his arm around Max.

Eddie was giving them a grossed out look, "can you guys like not do couple stuff when the food gets here."

"Hey Lucas." El looked at him.

"Yes?" Lucas asked.

"Genuine question, do you think you would want kids soon?" El just went out and said.

Will choked on his drink, and kicked El's foot under the table.

"Uhm- Well I don't know.." Lucas slowly looked at Max and then back to El "I like the idea of kids eventually.." Lucas was acting weird now.

"Why bring that up? Random." Dustin raised an eyebrow and leaned back in his chair.

"Red what do you think of this?" Eddie leaned on his hand.

"Uh- same I guess." Max looked at El.

"That's cool." El nodded.

"This is so weird-" Dustin was looking around at all of them.

"I think this is our food-" Will tried to change the topic.

"Yay!" Dustin squealed.

Max and Lucas looked at each other and shrugged, El noticed this. If Max got pregnant, El doesn't even know how she'd react she just would 100% support her through it.
