Max's jaw dropped when she saw the size of the swimming center.

"ITS FUCKING HUGE!" Eddie shouted out, pretty much speaking for her. She still hated him by the way.

Lucas figured this was the perfect time for a joke, "just like me." He winked letting out a small chuckle.

Will thought it was funny, Dustin just slowly turned around giving him a disgusted look before turning to Max and saying, "Sort your boyfriend out."

Max broke out into laughter as did Will, making Lucas feel proud. He doesn't normally say funny things, he always seems so serious and if he did ever make a joke it was always unfunny and unoriginal. It made El wonder why Max actually liked Lucas. She obviously never asked Max that because Max would literally beat her.

"Can we just go in, I need to try and get that image out of my head." Eddie actually looked sick.

"Perv." Max muttered under her breath, Eddie heard it and had enough.

He quickly turned around and snapped at Max, "CAN YOU ACTUALLY JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" He shouted, Max looked shocked. "WHY! WHY DO YOU CONSTANTLY PICK ON ME? WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU?" Dustin was also shocked, yeah sometimes Eddie lost his temper but this was different.

Max opened her mouth to respond but was interrupted by Eddie shouting again, "Are you just some stuck up bitch who's so fed up with her own miserable life that she picks on others to find joy." He was looking at her dead in the eye, the van went silent. Max looked hurt.

"You are sick. A sick person, you know you only pick on people because your depressed and because your brother does it to you!" Eddie stopped talking after he said that last part, he realised he may have took it to far when he brought up the abuse Billy gave her. I mean billy always both mentally and physically abused Max, he was right that is the reason Max picks on others.

Max felt like she was gonna cry right then and there, she stopped herself. She couldn't cry. She was frozen, how the hell is she supposed to respond to that? All she did was mutter perv as a joke and he did all that..

Everybody was silent, I think Eddie may have just ruined this day out. Eddie turned back around and just got out the car, Dustin followed him. El and Will also got out the car, Lucas saw them talking to each other as they took small looks back to the car.

Now it was just Max and Lucas.

"Max you know he didn't meant any of that- you aren't." Max cut him off.

"No I am. That's the worst part, everything, every part of what he just said is all true." Max was still frozen, she was even forgetting to blink.

"He took it to far when he brought up Billy okay! He doesn't know what you've gone through." Lucas put his hand on her back.

Max felt a tear roll down her cheek, that's what reminded her to blink. She snapped back to reality and tried to get out the car.

"Can we just go in, I don't want to talk about what just happened again." Max opened the car door, stepping out.

Lucas sighed and followed her, he held her hand as they walked towards the swimming center.

Max walked into the girls changing room, when she looked up El was stood there already staring at her.

"You okay-? Eddie was brutal. And honestly that was super awkward." El put her bag in a locker.

"I don't want to think about it." Max shook her head.

"He took it way to far when he brought up billy, and just so you know if this turns into a big thing I'm definitely on your side!" El nodded putting Max's bag in the locker to.
