The Journey: Second Ride

Finally, their food was here.

"I'm so fucking hungry!" Dustin immediately dug into his food.

"Language Dusty-Buns!" Eddie was obviously mocking Suzie.

Dustin gave him a middle finger and kept eating his food.

El was practically already finished.

"Woah, you've got quite an appetite on you." Eddie looked at El.

El just rolled her eyes and ignored him and rolled her eyes.

After about 10 minutes, everybody had finished eating.

"Right we all ready to go?" Lucas asked already standing up. They all nodded and got up.

"Lets get back on the road!" Dustin chuckled.

And they did, they had about 2 to 3 more hours left of their drive, they were all tired, especially Lucas who had done all the driving.

After an hour, most of them had fallen asleep. By most of them i mean Will, Dustin and El.

Lucas had one of his hand on Maxs thigh and his other on the wheel, Max was struggling to keep her eyes open.

"How long is left?" Eddie asked.

"About 1 or 2 hours." Lucas looked at him through the little mirror thing.

Max groaned, "Thats so long."

Lucas laughed, "you will be fine as soon as we get to the beach-house ive rented."

"You rented a beach-house just for this?!" Eddie shouted out.

"It didnt cost much." Lucas shrugged.

"whatever-" Eddie laughed.

They suddenly heard a little mumble, Max turned around to see El slowly sitting up while rubbing her eyes.

"Afternoon" Max raised an eyebrow at her.

"Nothing wrong with naps Max. Especially after waking up at 5 in the bloody morning." El snapped.

Max raised her hands like she had been found guilty for something, "Alright, calm your passion."

"Im so tired." El leaned back in her seat.

"Same." Max yawned.

"we will be there soon." Lucas reassured him while still holding Maxs thigh.

"Im still gonna try and get some sleep." Max slowly closed her eyes.

"Me to." El went back to sleep.

Eddie looked at Max she was already out cold. "You still awake?" Lucas asked Eddie.

"Oh yeah! i rarely get tired, so." Eddie was biting his nails.

"I just want to tell you before she says anything she doesnt mean, Max can be horrible some times. Like she can stay stuff without realising how harmful her words are, so please dont take anything she says to heart." Lucas quickly looked at Max before turning his head back to the road.

"I know, its just shes never rude to any of you guys.. it seems to be just me. Why is it just me here shes rude to??" Eddie looked pretty bummed.

"Dont blame yourself, she just picks somebody in the group to pick on. It used to be Mike but you know." Lucas nervously laughed.

"Who was it before i joined? Because i know Mike left a few years back and i only joined last year." Eddie was staring at Max, who was still fast asleep.

"Oh it was- uh well she kinda picked on all of us." Lucas lied, he didnt want to ruin Eddies friendship with all of them.

"Right," Eddie nodded. "You really like her, dont you?"
