ASHER ANDERSON

"Have you got everything?" I yell

Sophie looks down at her 4 suitcases, then back up at me.

"Pretty sure" she says. God she still has the sarcasm.

I grab the a few papers from work of my resignation and find the plane tickets besides them too. I take all and my bags with me to the Uber.

The man helps us put them all inside, although we had to get three different Uber's to carry all of us. We've grown a huge family now.

"Sophie can you grab Ivy's blanket, I think I left it by the stairs!" I yell.

"Got it!" She yells back.

Once I've placed all the suitcases out at the front I go back inside and see Sophie on her phone, sat in the stairs.

"Sophie! We have to leave in five minutes" she rolls her eyes, standing up.

"Moms still upstairs getting changed, I have excuses too" she says.

"You mean Jacob excuses? I know you're dating him"

"Leave me alone!" She yells, laughing, whisky throwing Ivy's blanket in my hands.

I laugh as she walks outside. God fourteen is sure a shitty age. I walk upstairs, straight to mine and Sarah's room. I hear Ivy crying, most likely bored again.

I walk into the room and pick her up, lifting her up in my arms and turning in circles with her. She laughs as I place her back down.

"You excited?" I ask her.

She nods her head repeatedly. "Yes! Daddy! Mommy put my necklace on this morning!" She yells aloud, excitedly.

I bend down, looking at her necklace. I smile. It's Paislee's moms necklace. It looks amazing on her, and I'm so glad that Sarah isn't afraid to share stories about her friendship with Paislee. Neither am I.

It's been ten years since she left me. Since she broke my heart. But I know she's in a happier place now. I know she's finally free from all the pain she felt.

It was hard the first six years. I was suffering her loss the entire time, but Sarah never left my side. She stopped fucking every men she saw and started sorting her life out and becoming a better person.

I helped her do that, just like she helped me grieve Paislee's death. I've grown to love Sarah just the way Paislee hoped I'd love another women one day.

But I'll never love Sarah the way I did for Paislee, and I think Sarah knows that deep down.

She fell pregnant with Ivy four years ago, we both knew immediately what her name was going to be when we found out the gender.

I married her a year later, and now we're going on three years happy. A part of me will always remember and love Paislee, but I will always stay loyal to Sarah.

Lauren adopted a son called Jacob, he's sixteen and I first noticed the signs of his and Sophie's relationship two weeks ago. I would have said no to it, but he's a genuine guy, and he remind me of myself.

Lexi's happy now, she's married to her husband Chris. They're seven months pregnant with a son. I feel they both needed this. They did lose their first son after all.

I'm happy she's happy with him and gave him the chance he never had before. I also love the guy, we've grown a bond with each other.

I stand up, looking at Sarah as she smiles at the both of us. I step forward, kissing her in the forehead and hugging her warmly.

"You ready?" I whisper into her ear.

She nods her head slowly.

"You guys do realise I'm still in here right?" Lexi says from behind me.

"And me?" Chris says as well.

I pull away, looking at them as they watch us.

"Like you've never see worse, remember that one time when you walked in-

"Sarah!" All three of us yell in unison.

"Oops. Sorry" she says.

She picks up Ivy and opens the bedroom door to leave but not before placing a kiss to my lips.

"We'll wait for you in the car" then she leaves.

I look at Lexi and Chris. They're both packing their final bits, ready to leave for Hawaii.

Now that Sophie is fourteen, we decided it was time to tell her the truth about what happened with Paislee.

She took it well, she doesn't remember her all that well, so she didn't have much of a reaction. Although she doesn't remember her completely, she still wears the necklace Lexi bought Paislee for Christmas.

That's Sophie's way of connecting with Paislee, as that was some of the last moments she spent with her before she left us all.

When I told her ten years ago that Paislee went on vacation and is waiting for her. She took it completely seriously and still to this day says we have to move to the beach with all the fishes.

That's why we're headed to Hawaii. I resigned from work and found a new hospital to work at in Kuaui, Hawaii, that actually had much better pay.

We bought a large home with seven bedrooms for everyone. We're all so close that we now want to live together, forever. Sophie sure does love this.

"Have you chosen any names yet?" I ask them.

Lexi nods her head almost immediately. "Miles" she says.

I look at her confused then immediately sigh and roll my eyes.

"You'll never get over that will you?"

"Nope" she says, shaking her head.

I walk towards the door and exit, walking down the stairs to the open front door. Lexi and Chris follow behind with all their bags walking outside.

I notice Jacob and Lauren in an Uber so I wave at both of them, they wave back.

I smile and turn back to the house. Just before I shut it, a single tear rolls down my cheek.

"I love you too, Paislee"

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for reading my story. I've really enjoyed writing this book, I even had a few tears myself on the last few chapters. Can't believe it's come to an end. I've had so much fun and can't wait for what the future holds. I'm sorry it had to end this way, but I made the ending happy for you - kind of. Thank you, love you guys!!!
