Roxanne's POV

This bed rest thing is driving me crazy. I couldn't go anywhere and I could barely move around. Savannah took up more hours at the club so she's always gone. I send her there to look over things. She brought me some papers I had to fill out and look over but their just sitting in the chair in the coner of my room.

I sat there in my bed trying to find something to watch on Tv. Nothing cought my eye. I picked up the bell Drex gave me to ring if i needed anything.

I shook it like crazy. Dylan came walking through my door. "Yes lady Roxie?"

"I'm bored." I crossed my arms.

He laughed and walked over to me. He sat on my bed next to me and looked at me. "What do you want to do then?"

"I want to get out of this bed out of this house."

"You can't."

"It's been days D come on."

"Sarah said you can hurt yourself if you move too much. I don't need anything else happening to you."

"Who is Sarah anyway?" I asked. He said her name a few times since I been home but never said who she was.

"She's an old friend of mine."

"Oh." I said kinda sadly.

"We were just friends. Never slept together never felt anything for her. We met in high school. We became close then she moved away to go to collage. She became a doctor. She helps me when I need her. Like with you. If I wasn't for her you would've died. She's the best of the best."

"You told me if I wanted to know anything about who you are you would tell me."

"Yeah."

"Okay well I'm bored so I wanna know some stuff."

"Okay. Ask me anything."

"Okay. What's with the whole Lion thing?"

"Well. All the men in my family were apart of this business. My father taught me everything I needed to know to run it. They call me The Lion because im the king. I run things. People come to me when something goes on in NYC. I'm the boss. Running the Mafia is a lot of work but I manage."

"Was it a choice? Taking over for your father."

"No but I know it was going to happen. After he died I took over trying to make him proud by being the man he raised me to be."

"Have you ever killed?"

He stayed quiet. I placed my hand on his. "I'm not going to look at you different Dylan."

"Yeah. I've killed. Many times. Never for no reason."

"What about your mom?"

"My mom left my dad when I was young. He cheated on her a lot she finally got the guts to leave him. We used to talk a lot but we fell out of touch."

"Is she alive?"

"I don't know."

"Who hurt you?"

"Her name was Hannah. I fell in love with her. I was ready to marry her. She was my everything. One day I come home and saw her in bed with one of my men. After that I said fuck love. I lived the rest of my life sleeping around with whoever I wanted. Didn't have to worry about heartbreak."

I felt for him. He got hurt now he's scared of loving again.

"Why didn't you kill me that day?"

"Because I needed you. You're the Cobra. People talk about you. They fear you. Grown ass men are scared of what you might do to them. They never knew your face just the tattoo. You cover it up now but you didn't before."
