I decided to take up Ayato's offer to get milk tea. But I was more interested in what he meant by him only receiving all my letters just now.
I walked alongside Ayato to Hanamizaka. This brings me back. When me and him would spend our free time together exploring Hanamizaka. The walk for the most part silent. I felt a little sorry for not hearing him out. Perhaps this was a good chance to apologize.
"I'm sorry for not listening to what you had to say..I just. I figured you were purposefully not replying back." I said, trying my best to not look directly at him. He then stopped in his tracks and turned to me with a soft smile,
"There's no need to apologize. You had every right to be upset with me at that moment." he said, I was a little surprised. He forgave me, just like that? And here I thought he was going to be upset with me..
"I thank you for accepting my apology." I said as I felt a smile grow on my face.
After I apologized to him. The walk was much less silent. He began to tell me all these stories that happened after I left Inazuma, and I told him about life outside of Inazuma. Perhaps Thoma was right, he is a kind and elegant man. But, I was still concerned about the way he spoke to that officer..

I wonder what they were talking about. What made that man so scared? Thoma did say he had placed me in a special place in his heart, but what did he mean by that? Perhaps that's how Ayato talks to others during work. But he certainly didn't speak to me like that.
"Ah, here it is." Ayato says, gesturing to me to a stall. The two of us approached the stall. The stall owner seemed to sell not just milk tea, but also 'creative cuisines' which immediately made me raise a brow at.
"Oh Sir Kamisato. And..oh wow! Lady Tamayo, head of the Suzuki commission!? It's truly an honor commissioner!" The stall owner said. He seemed to have drawn the attention of locals, as I heard many whispers behind me.
"Oh my...Sir Kamisato taking out Lady Tamayo.."
"I've never seen commissioner Kamisato ever go out with any Lady..let alone commissioner Tamayo!"
I covered my face with my sleeve in embarrassment. How embarrassing! The people were assuming I and Ayato were out on some date?! I only agreed to join him to find out about the letters!
