Ayato took me to his balcony. There was some hot steaming tea and some desserts waiting there for us, as if he was planning on taking me here in the first place.
"Please take a seat." Ayato said as he gestured to me to sit next to him.
I went over and took a seat with him and watched as he poured me some tea. He put a bit of sugar and stirred it for me before quietly setting it down in front of me.
"So. what the new leads the shuumatsuban have gotten?" I ask as I sipped some of my tea.
"They were able to determine a potential suspect." Ayato said as he poured himself some tea, "though, they still haven't confirmed that they are indeed the person who stalked us on our date."
"Oh..." I said I looked down at my tea, "I suppose that's better than nothing."
Ayato hummed in agreement before placing a plate down with some sakura mochi for me. "Don't worry, I'm confident they will be able to find them." Ayato said calmly before holding my hand, .

. Some time had passed and the two of us had a nice chat with one another. I feel as though I've finally become comfortable enough to talk with him about stuff. He's also quite considerate of my feelings which is something I like.
Suddenly I looked in the distance and I heard thunder followed by some rain that began to pour. Ayato stood up and quickly lend his hand to me,
"Come one, let us go inside before we get soaked." Ayato said. I grabbed his hand and the two of us swiftly went inside.
After we had returned inside I could hear the loud thunder roaring outside and the rain heavily hitting the estate.
"How will I get home now..." I said as I looked out the window. Ayato walked away from me as he went over to one of his bookshelves.
"Why don't we play some chess and wait until the storm deteriorates." He said, I am absolutely terrible at chess! I know Ayato is easily going to beat me...
I sighed, "I suppose I have nothing else better to do. Unless I wanted to be struck by lightning." I thought to myself.
I sat down and quietly watched as Ayato set up the game on the coffee table.
"Do you know the rules Y/n" Ayato said as he looked up at me. I shamefully shook my head in response.
"Ayato you know i'm terrible at chess...what's the point of me knowing the rules if i know you're going to beat me either way..." I said while staring at the chess board.
"What makes you say that." he said as he sat down next to me, "why don't I at least teach you and then you can see if you would wish to go against me." he said as he tucked my hair behind my ear.
"Ok then..." I replied. . . . Ayato taught me the basics of the game. It didn't seem too bad, but I still knew Ayato was going to beat me easily at this. As we were about to begin the game the Thunder seemed to have gotten much worse and louder.
"I have a strong premonition that the thunder won't calm down until tomorrow Y/n. It seems to have gotten much worse." Ayato said as he looked out the window. "Why don't you stay for the night. It seems dangerous for you to try and go home in such weather." he suggested as he looked back at me.
"Stay!?" I said as I began to blush, "I wouldn't wanna trouble you." I said as I let out a nervous laugh.
"I insist. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you If I made you return home in such weather." Ayato said.
"What about Thoma and Ayaka? You wouldn't think they would think we're..." I stopped mid sentence as I just realized what I was about to say out loud.
Ayato chuckles In amusement and leaned into my ear. "Would you like that to be the case?" He whispered as his warm breath sent shivers down my spine. I felt my face turn red even more and I quickly looked away from him,
"Of course not! I wouldn't dream of such a thing!?" I protested as I moved away from him. Ayato began to laugh as he pulled me back closer to him.
"I was only teasing you my love~" he said.
"So. where should I sleep for the night Ayato." I ask,
" my bed of course." he calmly said. I felt my face burn up in embarrassment. Just the thought of Ayato and I sleeping on the same bed made me get butterflies in my stomach and in a nervous way...
"What's wrong?" Ayato said as he tilted his head in confusion.
"WHAT'S wrong?! You're saying we sleep on the same bed!?" I exclaimed
"Unfortunately our only guest room is being used as storage at the moment. It would be most unfitting if I made you sleep there." Ayato said, "besides, that room has no heating in it and I wouldn't wish for you to get a cold."
I took a glance at his bed and back at Ayato and sighed, "alright then..." I said. .

. Ayato had one of his staff members give me something to wear for the night. I silently layed on the corner of the bed trying to fall asleep. It's been an hour now since I've laid here and I was still unable to sleep. Ayato told me in advance that he was going to finish up his last bit of paperwork before he would go to sleep.
Suddenly I felt the bed shift.
"Ayato must have returned...I know we're official now. But it feels so wrong to sleep with him!" I thought to myself.
I turn to face Ayato. The two of us stared at each other in silence before Ayato broke the silence
"Were you unable to sleep Y/n?" Ayato asked. I nodded my head without saying a word.
Without a warning, Ayato pulled me close to his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. I felt my face turn red but I didn't know what to do other than to stay silent.
"What are you doing Ayato!" I blurted. Ayato stayed silent as he began to run his slim fingers through my hair.
A loud bang of thunder echoed through the dark room causing the room to be brightened for a moment by the lightning, startling me a bit. I got a little closer to Ayato and wrapped my arms around his neck, resting my head on his neck.
I felt my eyes become heavier and heavier as the calming rain hitting the estate slowly helped me fall asleep. I took one last glance up at Ayato before I fell asleep in his arms.
