After her excellency picked me to be her supporting officer, I was at a loss for words at that moment when she chose me. I sat down at my spot, not even paying attention to what she had to say to everyone, when Kaito tapped on my shoulder.
"Hey, pay attention." he whispered, to which I quickly turned to her excellency holding a..list of all our names?
"Now that we have our brand new rank one commissioner. It seems only right for us to celebrate this occasion." she said, in more of a relaxed tone of voice. Celebrate..i'm not one for big events, but given that this is for me, i'm guessing i've got no other option then to show up..
"The Tenryou commission shall host this event tonight, I expect for everyone on this list to show up." she added. Tonight?! I would have thought she would host this in a week or so in advance...but it seems like I cannot argue with them to host this today.
"You are all dismissed." she said. As everyone was leaving, Kaito was still amazed at me for receiving my badge.
"This is amazing Y/n! And to think you've only been in Inazuma for less than a month..that's quite the accomplishment." he said to me as we both left.
"yea..I wasn't expecting this at all..I thought someone like kujou Sara would receive this reward." I said, letting out a soft chuckle.
After we arrived home, I rushed to my parents to tell them the news
"This is truly an accomplishment for you dear!" My father exclaimed. Both my mother and father, as well as my brother were amazed by the news. I then explained to them about this event being held by the Tenryou commission for me and how it was tonight.
"Oh, the event is more of a ball you can say. When I first received my rank two badge, they held me a ball, so expect yours to be the same." my father said, a ball? I've never attended a ball before. When it comes to ballroom dancing, I've never seemed to have the chance to learn...
"If it's a ball then, we need to get you a beautiful dress to wear there." my mother added, that's true. I didn't own any ball dresses, I mainly only owned Kimonos and Yukatas unfortunately...
"Y/n you should go with one of the maids to go try some ball dresses on, after all, you don't have much time before the event so it's best you begin looking for one now, leave the rest of your workload to me." my father suggested, to which I quickly agreed.
I had two maids, as well as Yunko help me choose the perfect ball dress though, I never expected this to take this long..
