Dennis took a drink from his cup. The vodka burned his throat a little bit but it didn't matter much to him. They had an extremely rough weekend with the car and he just needed to relax and let go a little bit. The bottle in the middle of the group stood still as more people added to the circle. Dennis was sat next to a few of his friends and across from Lia. She looked stunning in the horrible apartment light and she held a similar cup to his. She brought it to her ruby red lips and made no face drinking whatever substance she had. She turned and laughed at something the girl next to her said before looking back across the circle at Dennis, giving him a small smile when their eyes met. He felt his stomach turn and it wasn't from the straight gin shots that Marcus made him do earlier when he had admitted he was pretty sober. Marcus, Clem and Jehan were already smashed at this point but to be honest he had seen them much worse than this so he was surprised. Marcus stood up in the middle of the circle and announced a large game of truth or dare to which the group cheered. Marcus sat down just a few spots away from Dennis and motioned for him to start. Dennis spun the bottle in the middle and it landed on Clem. Dennis dared Clem to do a body shot off of some random blonde sitting not to far from them which Clem did happily, smirking the whole time. The blonde squealed as the vodka hit her stomach and she turned bright red when Clem brought his lips to her stomach making that awful alcohol slurping sound as he sucked the vodka. The group clapped and it was Clem's turn to spin the bottle. It landed on Felipe, his teammate and Clem got a wicked smile on his face as he thought of a truth to ask the championship leader as the group waited. Clem asked Felipe if he had ever done it with a girl in the drivers room to which Felipe laughed a little and answered no. Clem was disappointed but it didn't last long as Dennis could tell Clem was about 50 percent present and 50 percent in drunk land. Felipe spun the bottle and it landed on a girl named Sara who was dared to give someone a lap dance. People cheered and she turned red sitting back into her seat. So far these dares and truths were pretty mundane and Dennis wasn't to worried about it. Most people were pretty drunk and he was sure about 40 percent of them would not remember what went down tonight so he was feeling good. At a lot of these parties people would put their phones in a bin or bag upon entry so that no photos or videos could be leaked from the night ruining someone's career. Most of the people at these parties could be trusted but there were always a few strays that came in from the night or were picked up at the bar that were not to be trusted because they were new and didn't know of the unspoken rules. Dennis looked back up to see Lia was looking at him and she turned her head quickly when their eyes met. She was quite embarrassed that he had caught her looking. He thought it was cute rather than embarrassing. He kind of always had a thing for Lia ever since she had joined the RedBull Jr team media crew. She was in charge of filming them for tik toks and Instagram reels. She also helped with some of the Instagram engagement and twitter because she was younger and the older media employees did not understand how to interact as well with some of the younger fans. Because of her role she walked around the paddock not belonging to one team in particular and finding the RedBull Jr drivers doing whatever around the paddock all day. Natural and candid shots and videos of them going about their task. Fans liked that kind of content feeling like it gave them the inside scoop on the drivers, making them feel like they were right there with them. She also though found enough cringe dances and challenges to have them do to keep them on their toes. Dennis had never really liked the media work before. Most of the time it was supposed to be about the driving and the success or lack there of, of the team that weekend but interviews and press conferences have been more about his relationship status and what he would be up to during the summer break lately and he was not super interested in talking about his personal life. He shared what he wanted to on socials and then kept the rest to himself. But with Lia behind the phone camera he was more likely to open up or do a silly dance or challenge to spend time with her.

Nothing had been talked about between the two of them but he felt like there were vibes and they both felt something more than workplace friends. He wanted to spend more time with her, get to know her more on a personal level and even take her out on dates and back to his place. Sure they had held conversations before non work related but it wasn't the same as sitting down on a date and getting to know someone or staying up late night texting until one of them would fall asleep. He wanted that. He wanted her to want that too.
