CHAPTER 27

Nick's Pov:

I was getting ready for the office and preparing breakfast when Matt came to the kitchen looking just now woken up.

He looked at me with confusion before asking.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I am getting ready for the office." I said.

"What? But, I thought, you said... do you think it was a good idea?" he asked but I kept silent.

"Well, don't take me wrong but what if he's there? Are you ready to face him?"

I sighed and looked at him.

"I know what you mean Matt so calm down and No I'm not yet ready to face him but I can't hide here forever. I have responsibilities and work to do and I am not going to locked up here just because he came back. As you said sooner or later I have to face him and I'm just doing that whether I like it or not." I finished and Matt smiled at me nodding.

"Where is Alan?" he asked.

"He's getting ready for school. I'll drop him in his school on my way. I already prepared breakfast for you and if you're free in the afternoon pick up Alan from school. I'll be coming late today." I said and he nodded before pouring himself a coffee and sitting on the dining table.

"Alan, are you ready?" I shouted looking up the stairs.

"Yes Daddy." I hear him say before seeing him coming down the stairs.

"Come on, finish your breakfast. We're getting late."

He nodded obediently and sat on the chair. He started eating and I ruffled his hair before kissing him softly in his head.

After finishing breakfast I packed all my stuffs and we soon left. About 15 minutes later I dropped Alan at his school and made my way to my office.

To say I'm nervous is an understatement. I am a nervous wreck. I know what I said to Matt but to be honest I am not yet ready to face him.

'What if he's there? How should I face him?'

I know I trust Hendry but he didn't know what happened between us. He said James is his friend and I am not sure whether James told him the truth or not after I left.

Whatever the situation is I have to face it.

After reaching the company I parked my car and got out. I made my way to the elevator and reached my floor. I directly went to my table knowing Hendry will be late as usual.

I started to do my work and about half an hour or later I arranged all the files that's need to be signed and I noted down all his meeting agenda.

After I completed everything I looked at the time and went to Hendry's office.

I went to his office room and knocked on the door waiting patiently. I heard him say come in and I went inside.

As expected he is already there looking at his computer.

"Good morning Hendry. Here is the file you asked for and you have a meeting about our new launch in an hour so be ready."

I said while placing the files on his table.

He looked at me and nodded smiling.

"Thanks Nick, I'll let you know when I am ready. You can take these files after I signed it." He said and I nodded before looking around the room.
