Marinette's POV
Two weeks later

It's been two weeks since Hawkmoth's last attack, and ever since then, everything has been so—strange.

It felt like I had done something wrong. Whenever I'd see Chat Noir, either it be on patrol with him, or just me as Marinette, he'd always avoid me. At least it felt like that.

Whenever we'd even make the slightest eye contact, he'd look away, or go on his own way. I was so confused, why was he suddenly so cold to me?

And that wasn't even the worst.

Adrein was also acting strange towards me too, and I couldn't ignore it. At first, he'd just take a little longer to reply to my texts and calls, but now, it felt like he was full on ignoring me. He barley talked to me, and when he rarely did, it was about school, and nothing more. It felt like everything I was doing was just wrong.

Just a few weeks ago, he couldn't keep his hands off me, and now I would do anything just to get the slightest attention from him. The only person who could help me was Ayla, she seemed to catch on to it quick.

"Hey, Hey it's ok Marinette." She comforted me from her side of the video call. I was wrapped up in my blanket on my bed, going on and on about everything to Ayla. It sucked that I couldn't tell her what was going on as Ladybug as well.

I groaned. "it's not ok. What if he doesn't want anything serious with me? and everything he said was just lie."

Ayla shook her head. "Girl, there's probably just something going on in his personal life you don't know of. Give him some time, i'm sure he's not 'ignoring' you on purpose."

I tried to believe what she said, and pushed everything to the back of my mind. Ayla had to go because she was going on a date with Nino, so I hung up from my side, and just laid in my bed.

I stared at my trap window, and a part of me wishing that Chat would just appear and tap on the glass. But why would he? He obviously wanted nothing to do with me.

I sighed, realizing I couldn't mope around in bed forever. It was getting late, and I needed to start getting ready for school the next day. My weekend was official over.

I got out of bed and went downstairs. Quickly, I ate dinner, barley talking to my parents. I wasn't trying to be rude, but there was just too much on my mind. After I finished, I went back up stairs to shower and got ready for bed. My mind was blank while I did everything, I just wanted to go back to my bed.

Once I was finally done with everything, I stepped into my pajamas and put my hair into a ponytail. I slipped into bed and immediately grabbed my phone.

I saw that I got two messages, and I felt me heart beat begin to pick up. Was it Adrien?

I nervously opened the messages, disappointed to see that Ayla had just sent me pictures of her and Nino out for dinner. They looked so cute, but it wasn't helping me at all.

Placing my phone down on my nightstand, and pulled the covers over my head. I just wanted to sleep, and didn't want to think about my problems any longer.

It was past Midnight, and I must of been in a deep sleep when the sound of someone tapping on my window woke me up. At first, I thought it was just a bird, mostly due to my sleepy state, but when I got a good look, it definitely wasn't a bird. It was—

"Adrien?" I gasped. Despite me being so tired and having just woke up, I jumped out of bed and opened my window.

"Adrien...what are you doing here?" My voice was panicked and I was out of breath. Secretly, I pinched my arm, thinking that this was some crazy dream, but it definitely wasn't.
