Marinette's POV
The sound of birds chirping and honking cars slowly awoke me. My head was all fuzzy and I couldn't remember much from the night before. I didn't know where I was for a second, but when I turned to see Adrien next to me in bed, I remembered everything.
I guess the fact that I had just—done it— with Adrien, the boy I was madly in love with for years, hadn't completely sunk in. It didn't feel real at all. Never in a million years would I have imagined myself, sleeping in the same bed with Adrien.
"Morning, sleepy head." Adrien said, staring at me. His blonde hair was all messy, sprawled across his face.
'Sleepy head'. That reminded me of Chat.
No—-no—-I was just reaching. Anyone could've called me sleepy head. Why was I suddenly thinking of Chat—No, not right now.
His arm was wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I was still naked and so was he.
"How'd you sleep?" He smiled, looking straight into my eyes. His eyes scanned my face, like he was admiring all my features.
Gently, he ran his fingers through my hair, not breaking eye contact at all.
I couldn't brush off the feeling; Adriens's mannerisms reminding so much of Chat's. Maybe I was overthinking it, but I couldn't shake it. Not only were they so similar in the way they acted, but they looked so alike. Their hair, their eyes, their body, hell, their voice.
But Adrien couldn't possibly be Chat, it just didn't make sense to me. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
"Hmm?" Adrien hummed. I looked up at him and realized I'd never answered his question.
"I slept fine." I said, giving him a smile.
Light shone through the tall windows in his room, signaling it was already daytime. How long had I been here?
I don't even remember falling asleep, nor had I even planned to stay the night. I wasn't in a rush though, it was Saturday. My parents were probably still asleep too. It wouldn't hurt if I stayed a little, would it?
I spotted my phone on his nightstand and reached over to grab it. Turning it on, I saw the time—
1 o'clock?? I slept into the afternoon?
That wasn't even it. I scrolled through the notification bar...Oh my fucking—
34 missed calls from my Mom, just from the last few hours. I was dead.
I jumped from the bed, panicking. I knew I was screwed.
"Woah, woah, woah, what's wrong?" He said, rising out of bed after me.
"Um—I have to go." I said hurriedly.
He frowned. "Why? What's wrong?"
I went around picking my clothes off the floor
"My mom."
What what I going to say? I didn't have an excuse? Fuck, I was done for it.
I was panicking, and started thinking out loud.
"Maybe..I'll just say I was at Alya's house. Or, I got lost?"I caught a whiff of myself; I smelt like Adrein's strong cologne.
My mom wasn't stupid, she'd know what I was up to right away as soon as she smelt me.
"Adrien, can I use your shower?" I ask, and he nods.
