Marinette's POV
*smut warning*"I think i'm going crazy Tikki." I sat up on my bed, too scared to even try and go back to sleep.
I told Tikki everything that happened in the dream, not forgetting a single detail. Even as I said it out loud, my stomach still churned as though it actually happened.
Now I started to consider what Tikki said. I thought back to when she told me It was deeper than me just trusting him. I wonder what she meant by that, but the dream I just had made everything seem so much clearer.
How did I know I could trust Adrein so well with knowing i'm Ladybug? I'd tried to push that thought away and convinced myself that Adrein would never do anything to put my true identity at risk but how could I be so sure?
"Hey, don't say that." Tikki consoled me. "This is all my fault, i'm sorry for how I reacted Marinette."
"I'll always be right here with you."
I scoffed "Well not if Hawkmoth finds out my true identity and steals you and my miraculous." My face fell into my hands.
Tikki looked at me as though I slapped her across the face. Her mouth was dropped wide open.
"Why would you even think that?"I sighed. "Sorry. I don't know what i'm even thinking anymore." I laughed nervously.
"I don't know what to do anymore."
Me and Tikki had fell silent when I heard a chime from my phone. I didn't even feel like looking at whatever it was, but I was just a little curious. Lazily, I pulled my phone closer to me using my foot. I saw that I had two new messgaes.
hey beautiful :)
are your parents home? i miss you already.
I audibly gasped when I saw it was Adrein who sent that text—I mean who else would it have been?
Still, this wasn't the right time. My head was still aching from that horrible dream I just had. Maybe I was still dreaming. How much of a coincidence could this be?
I'd been overthinking, and realized that i'd left Adrein on read. After a few moments, he put a single question mark.
Tikki noticed something was up and flew over to see my phone screen. She looked just a shocked as me.
"Don't reply, Marinette. You're not even sure you want to see him right now, are you?
"But he sees I already read his message, I can't just leave him on read." I sighed
Despite Tikki's advice, I replied.
No, but why?
Three dots appeared and I could see he was typing something, and for a while too. But then they suddenly disappeared.
You know ;)
I looked at his text, and knew exactly what he meant.
It's not that I didn't want to, but with everything that had just happened I was on edge. I knew it was just a dream but still. What if it became a reality?
I sat there, with my thumbs hovering my keyboard not knowing what to say after that.
So..could i come over? He texted after a long pause
Tikki looked from my phone screen to me, waiting for me to reply to him.
Yeah, sure :)
It took everything in me not to look over at Tikki to see how she reacted to me sending that.
But I also felt a growing pit start in my stomach. Adrein would be here anytime from now, and I was still so freaked out. I don't know why I agreed, but also I felt like I couldn't say no.
