Gwyneth Ryder

Gwyneth was in her bedroom as usual,late for work, she checked the time on her phone
'8:03am 12th of May 2007'
"Crap!" she rushed out of bed, almost falling onto her fish tank which hadn't been cleaned since 2 weeks ago. She grabbed her baggy jeans and quickly put them on, she reached for her favourite shirt and put it on in a hurry. she ran down the stairs only to find her mum sat with a cup of tea watching the news.
"Mum?Ya know where my shoes are?" Gwyneth spoke trying to catch her mums attention
"No love, check under the stairs"
Her mother,abie was focused back onto the TV.
"Found em!" Gwyneth tied her red converse shoes up, while peaking through the living room door.
"Whats happened?" Gwyneth walked into the living room slowly,curious about the news.
"they say there's a man in town with a blue box, apparently he's a time traveller! Its all bonkers"
Gwyneth quickly went to find her little bag and picked it up before rushing out the front door.
It was now 8:16am and she was definitely late for work.
Although she was in a rush, she walked to her work place.
About 5 minutes later she was about to cross a road when a loud bang and crash hit the apartments at Candle Street, she saw a man running towards it but he had no qualified uniform on, just a long suit. She turned left and right to make sure no one was watching her, Candle Street had caught on fire, it was dangerous but she ran towards it and the strange man.
She walked through the broken doors and shouted, "Hello?!Anyone there? You okay?"
She didn't get an answer but a man came running towards her at full speed, grabbing her hand and almost dragging her across the road.
"Oi!Who do you think you are!?"
"The Doctor, thanks, and I just saved your life from breathing and living fire"
"What fire?"
"Living!" The mysterious man had crossed his legs and arms while leaning on the local corner shop
"Did I introduce myself? Sorry, terrible memory and everything. New body and stuff, you wouldn't undertsand"
Gwyneth stayed silent but looked at the man up down, confused.
The fire department had came now, The doctor was to busy talking to Gwyn.
The Doctor sighed and looked at Gwyn,"How would you feel if you could travel through time and space?"
"uh- i- I don't know? I've never really thought about it." Gwyn was surprised and confused by the Doctors words
"What kind of Doctor are you anyways?" Gwyn stood up infront of the doctor, glaring him in the eyes.
"A time lord"
"A what lord"
"Time lord,I have a tardis, I can travel through time and space and I have a weird beepy thing"
He pulled out a strange looking stick, much like a pen but more silver and glow-ey.
"So? Do you wanna travel with me or not?"
"uhh- sure? What do I need to pack?"
The Doctor laughed and said, "The tardjs will handle that, she's got a closet, a swimming pool, a library and more!"
The Doctor started to walk away and Gwyn chased after him
"Let me message my mum real quick, im supposed to be at work"
About a 15 minute walk and they reached a quite tall blue box,"This is the Tardis" He said proudly,patting the Tardis with his hand like a dog.
"Close your eyes, I have a surprise inside"
The Doctor opened the doors and Gwyns eyes were covered with her hands, The Doctor lead Gwyn into the Tardis.
"Open your eyes."
Gwyn looked around confused,"Wha- Its bigger on the inside!"
"Yup..pretty cool"
Gwyn continuesly ran in and out of the Tardis in shock
After a while, Gwyn closed the doors and looked around the Tardis.
"So? where are we going? Spain? Italy? Australia?"
"Mars!"
The doctor slammed and pushed and pulled some buttons as the middle part of the Tardis started to go up and down, while making a loud sound.
"Hold on tight!" Gwyn and the Doctor held onto the bars on the side of the Tardis.
Suddenly there was a big stop
"Where are we?"
"Already told you, Mars,You won't have to worry about oxygen, its a man made building on Mars, the year is 2050, Earth was invaded."
The both stepped outside the Tardis.
"What?! How are we here if we were just in the middle of London-"
"Timey wimey stuff- Now shut up i wanna look at this"
The Doctor walked towards some large tins of metal, putting his ear to it as if there was something or someone in there.
3 people walked in the room the two were in, the Doctor turned around in surprise,whipping his head around."Who are you?"
"Walklax, who are you? How did you board this ship, we've been here for 15 years and we've never seen you here before." The lady in the middle spoke sternly.
"W-we were just-.." the Doctor looked around for a second, "passing by" he continued
"yea, but how did you get here, and what is that?" the short lady looked at the tardis, tilting her head to the left
The Doctor sighed, "Thats my spaceship."
"Right,yea, are you the rescue team?"
"uhh-? yep!"
"Great, we've been waiting 7 months"
"Why do you need rescuing?"
"These..living things in those box tins, the ones you were holding, they are like," "alive.."
"Alive?"
"yes, they seen to growl and when our power shuts down at night me and my team all here growling and..just strange sounds"
"Like a zombie? Oh cool!" Gwyn said with a smile
"Absolutely not! Not if they've killed half my crew! They are not cool and they are probably blood thirsty aliens!" The lady with blonde hair shouted
"What do you expect? Your in space, of course your gonna find aliens." The Doctor said, putting his dirty hands in his pockets.
Gwyn nodded and looked around as if nothing happened
The Doctor inhaled, "Rightyo! So a few questions, you've been here for what? 15 years, did you say?"
"yes.." the lady spoke,looking down to here feet
"Hm..possibly bacteria thats grown over years.." The Doctor pressed and stroked his finger against the tunnel looking silver objects, he then licked his finger
"Eugh! disgusting!" he flapped his finger about and wiped it on his brown suit.
"Are you a mad man?"
"Yes, always have been,always will be." the Doctor replied
There was a strange sound coming from the walls, a low growl and a faint shouting voice that faded away.
"Uh what was that?!" Gwyn panicked, frantically looking around.
"Dunno" The Doctor tutted after his sentence, looking around himself too.
"You two, go to the main office and check the cameras." Walklax ordered to her leftover crew."I'll stay here with these two"
"Uh- So why did you just scoop me up and take me in your box?" Gwyn questioned the Doctor,looking around the room they were in,covered in wires,labels and buttons.
"Oh well- you seemed curious about the fire, I like curious people, but curiosity can kill you, so I dragged you away. you also had a cool jacket so-" The Doctor shrugged
"Oh right so a person with a cool jacket means kidnapping?"
"Yep."
"Mad man." Gwyn rolled her eyes
"Can you two actually help me please?" Walklax was trying to open a vent inside the ceiling with a basic screwdriver. The Doctor pulled out that same glowing machine and he held down a button aiming the stick at the vent, it making a beeping sound. The vent opened like magic.
"That some sort of sonic screw?" Walklax asked, climbing inside he vent.
"I guess, sonic screwdriver, makes noise and its a screw driver." He climbed into the vent aswell and helped Gwyn up, The Doctor had no idea what the old lady was trying to do but he followed her anyways.
They all climbed through and eventually came out and ended up in a control room.
"Ahh! Control room..very nice very nice.. " The Doctor said in excitement, looking around in awe.Walklax walked over to a desk with some buttons, she pushed a red one and then turned on some cameras. She then went onto a computer looking device and looked at the room they were just in, with the tin. After about 10 minutes or so the metal began making growling noises or clanging noises, but nothing was moving on the camera.
"Maybe ghosts?" Walklax thought, spinning around on her spinny chair,asking the Doctor as if he had all the answers.
"Nah I doubt that, ghosts on a ship is absolute bonkers."
