The drive to the bar was a pretty short one. It only took Jeno twenty minutes to drive them there, and it just so happened to be nearby The Solstice, which was pretty convenient.
Once they were parked, they got out. Jeno rushed to the glass doors and held one of them open. "After you, pretty boy," he gestured to the way inside. Rolling his eyes, Jaemin went in first.
But the moment he stepped over the threshold... his body froze. It was a pretty dark place with a lot of wood and soft music that allowed people to talk at a normal volume. There were candles on tables. The lights were dim and reddish. There was a separate room to play pool, and many groups took turns knocking the balls with sticks. It was pretty bare inside for a Monday night.
However... Jaemin's mouth went dry. His stomach did somersaults. His hands tingled. He couldn't be here... anywhere but here. "No, no, no... I need to leave." Jaemin listened to his brain and turned right back around.
But he bumped into Jeno again. "Hey, what's wrong?"
Jaemin cursed himself. The older definitely noticed. "It's nothing..."
"Are you sure? You seem a little nervous."
"Yeah..." Jaemin nodded. "Great. Now he knows I'm weak."
"Don't be. Come on, let's go meet the others." Jeno wrapped his arm around Jaemin's shoulders and guided him through the room. Jaemin faced the floor. He knew people were staring at him... because what could an entitled, rich brat be doing with someone like Jeno? Why did he of all people have to be with Jeno?
"Jeno! You're here!" a familiar voice shouted. And when Jaemin looked up, he realized that they were in the billiard room.
Nearby was the rest of the group at one of the pool tables, holding cue sticks. Lucas happily waved at them. Yuta eyed them beneath his long bangs. And Johnny was standing next to a woman in a tight black dress.
All eyes were on Jaemin... he was the oddball out this time. He nervously took his jacket off and set it on the chair closest to him. This'll be interesting.
"It's about damn time you got here." Yuta grumbled.
"Yeah, where have you been? We started without you." Johnny spoke, holding onto the woman's waist.
"Well, as you can see, Jaemin thought we were going to a ball. Took him an hour and a half to get ready." Jeno explained.
"Wow, Jaemin, you went all out. I feel underdressed." Lucas said.
"Typical of a rich boy." Yuta pointlessly added.
"Shut the fuck up Yuta. I think he looks hot... really fucking hot." Johnny studied the elegant male from head to toe and whistled.
"T-thanks..." Jaemin rubbed his arm.
"Wait, Johnny, who is this lovely lady?" Jeno wanted to ask. "Is there something I need to know?"
The woman giggled. "I'm Jihyo. We've been dating privately for a month."
"Wait, you have a girlfriend?!" Jeno widened his eyes. "How come I haven't met her before?"
"We've been taking it slow," Johnny explained. Then the couple looked at each other with smirks on their faces. "Really slow."
Jeno wasn't really surprised. Johnny was attracted to literally anyone. And let's be honest, Jihyo was too beautiful. Her hair was like silk, her lips were as red as a rose, and her body was an hourglass. She was stunning and sultry... a perfect match for Johnny.
"Didn't you ask me to sit on your lap?" Jaemin folded his arms.
Everyone suddenly cracked up... except for poor Johnny. "I... I was joking! Don't listen to him, Jihyo."
