TEO PRESSES HIS LIPS on mine, and I was instantly brought into a world of sweet ecstasy. No one has ever touched me the way he does. It was gentle and warm, cautious even. If I could, I would stay like this forever.

His warm hand holds onto my cheeks while his other hand held onto my waist. He gently pulls me closer to him, our body now inches away from each other. When I could already feel him getting closer, I pulled my lips apart, giving him permission to put his tongue inside. Teo was hesitant at first, but as I pushed myself further into him, he finally slides his tongue inside my mouth.

A moan escaped my mouth as Teo pulls me even closer to him, our bodies finally pressed against each other. I could feel his warmth on me, and I could feel my desires growing every second.

"Bishop..." he calls out under his breath as our lips quickly parted, but it didn't even take a second before they were pressed together again.

My hands were both still, but after a while, they slowly snake their way towards his coat. I try to remove it for him, but when Teo noticed what I was doing, he quickly pulls away from my lips, panting heavily as he looked straight into my eyes.

He doesn't say anything and just stares, and knowing that he could see them made me look away. People looked at my eyes like they were some kind of novelty. They treated it as something that's interesting to look at, pretending to act like it's a compliment when it's only because they find it peculiar. But Teo was different. He grabbed my chin and made me look back at him. He looked at my eyes so lovingly, as if he was looking at the real me.

"Do you want us to continue?" He then asks me.

I ignored his question and moved closer so I could kiss him again, but Teo pulls away before our lips could even touch. "Do you want to continue? I want you to say it," he insists. "I want you to be sure."

"To be sure?" I repeated, and Teo nods his head while tucking a strand of hair behind my ear so it wouldn't cover my eyes.

"Yes," he answers. "I want you to sure, to be certain that this is what you want. Because once we do this, there's no turning back anymore. Things will be different between you and me."

"And why would it be different?" I genuinely ask him, and Teo smiles, probably amazed by my innocence, or maybe just amused by my ignorance

"I'm not very fond of one-night stands, Bishop. I only hold those whose feelings I am certain of," he tells me, and for some reason, that surprised me more than anything I've heard since I moved to this town. How is that even possible that there are still men like him? Why is that more terrifying than someone who would treat me like absolute trash?

"Then does that mean that you haven't held Isabella yet? Or were you planning to do so tonight?" I ask him, and Mateo stops and stares at me with furrowed brows like the question confused him. But after a while, he finally understood what I meant and suddenly started laughing. This time, it was my turn to look at him with furrowed brows.

"Isabella? You mean Bella, my brother's courtesan?" Mateo then asks, making me tilt my head to the side like a confused dog.

     "Your brother's?"

"Well, I believe they're more than that but they argue most of the time so she tends to stay beside me to annoy him. It's very complicated," Teo explains. "And if it's not already obvious enough, I don't hold women. They're not my cup of tea, or rather, they're quite unappealing if you get what I mean."
