I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT time it was, and I didn't know what day it was either. All I know is that my body ached, my stomach growled, and I was still strapped in the chair that Giovanni had left me in. I couldn't even sleep, and I could tell that Lino and Laurence were feeling the same thing because they were no longer talking.
"I'm so hungry," I whispered under my breath.
The darkness and emptiness of the room didn't help me understand the reality that I was in because I couldn't tell if I was awake or if I had already passed out. Everything just felt completely numb.
"I'm so hungry!" I shout this time in complete frustration, pulling my arms from the straps again, making my already bleeding wrists start aching even more.
I continue to pull my hands off the strap, shouting my lungs out as if I was losing my mind. But as I proceeded to subject myself to the pain, I suddenly heard someone start laughing. I stopped and looked around the room, but no one was there.
"Lino? Laurence? Is that you?" I asked, but instead of hearing an answer, I could only hear the growing laughter in the background.
The laughter became louder and louder until I could finally hear the sound just inches away from my ear. I quickly turned my head to see who it was, and to my surprise, it was Patient 02, Miguel Santiago, better known as Hunter.
"W-What are you doing here?" I ask, and Hunter stares at me and starts laughing again before reaching out to gently touch my cheek.
"How does it feel to be in this position now? You looked down on us like lab rats, and now you're in the very same spot I was in before I died," Hunter says, circling around me.
"I never looked down on you. I've never looked down on any of the patients in this manor," I answer, and Hunter laughs again.
"Never? Are you certain about that?" Hunter says, still circling around me like it was some sort of game. "You thought you'd be safe. You thought you were special because doctor Giovanni fucked you, but that's not the case. Even after everything you did for him, he still chained you here, like everyone else. You're going to die in this room like what happened to us. And your body will be buried six feet underneath the soils of this Hell House too."
"That's not true."
"Oh, it is. He's going to feed you the poison he fed to us. Your skin's going to rot, your teeth's going to fall, and all you could wish is that Grimm reaper could just take you away so the suffering could finally end," Hunter continues to say.
"I said that's not true."
Hunter laughs and circles around me for the fourth time, but when the figure appears in front of me again, I am surprised to see that it is no longer Hunter but Patient 03, Oz.
"Always so noisy," Oz then complains, stopping in front of me to look at my face. "Always talking about his wife and his kid, but we all know he doesn't care about them at all. I saw him once having sex with one of the female nurses. Doctor Giovanni got angry and killed him first."
"W-What?"
"You should believe me, Bishop. After all, I'm the only sane person here," Oz says, circling around me too as Hunter did. "I can't believe I died though. But did you do what I told you about? Did you go to the extra floor upstairs? What did you see? Were there more patients? Were there dead bodies?"
"There wasn't anything like that. We didn't really find anything important," I answer, and Oz suddenly stops and moves his face behind my ear. I couldn't see him, but I could tell he was there because I could feel his hot breath on my skin.
