"EXCELLENT," THE MAN WEARING the bird mask says as he walks closer to me. I still couldn't see his face, but I could tell that he was staring at me, probably even observing me.
"Who are you?" I asked him again because I could swear that I'd heard this voice before.
"We've met once, but that's no longer important. What's important is that my previous request still remains the same. For you to be released, you must show me Krimson," the man says, making me furrow my brows in confusion. Why does he want to meet Krimson? What's he planning?
"No."
"No?"
"I don't know who you are sir, but I would like it if you release me instead," I say, and the man starts laughing in response.
"It seems like you don't fully understand the position you are in right now Tomorrow, so let me put some light into it for you," the man says, suddenly removing the glove from one of his hands. I couldn't fully understand what he meant by those words, but when the palm of his hand made contact with my cheek, my eyes instantly widened in realization.
"Y-You slapped me," I say in disbelief, my cheek burning.
The man doesn't answer, but then he slaps me again. I got ready to shout at him, but then I felt like something was pulling me. Or rather, something inside me was trying to get out. For a moment, my vision starts to become blurry, but before anything can happen, the man grabs my cheeks, forcing me to look at him again.
"Oh no you don't," he says, holding onto my cheeks tightly. "I know that's you, Alice. I know you're trying to get out, but if you haven't already realized, that's no longer possible."
Alice? Has he spoken to Alice too?
"You were my least favorite alter, but I did enjoy our conversations together. You were the observant one after all. But the biggest mistake you ever made was trying to observe me," he says before pushing my face away.
"Now, Tomorrow, I want you to stay focused. I want you to be fully aware of your surroundings because what's going to happen next is very important," the man says, snapping his fingers, automatically making two other people enter the room.
The people who entered the room were wearing gas masks. I didn't know why they had them on, but doesn't that mean that something bad is in the air?
The two gas mask people approach me and start removing the straps on my wrists, freeing me from the chair's armrest. I thought they were finally going to release me, but to my surprise, they strapped my body to the chair instead so I wouldn't be able to escape.
"I don't like this at all," I say, looking at the man in a bird man who was simply watching me on the side.
"Believe me, Tomorrow, you will hate what happens next even more," he says, walking towards me again as the other two leave the room. "You will go through three tests. Tests that will measure your limits. If you don't want to do any of them anymore, you only have to do one thing, and that's to call out Krimson."
Krimson again. Why is this man desperately trying to call for him?
"I hope you can make this experiment worthwhile," the man says before heading out of the room.
I quickly looked around the moment he left, and then I realized that there was actually a surveillance camera on the ceiling, directly pointing in my direction. I stare at it and tilt my head to the side and pay it no mind. I then look down at my wrist and found bruises on them. They're probably bruises from the straps and not because I was cutting them.
