(This is also a flashback, you and Kenma are both first years in middle school at this time- Kenma would be 12 since it's currently spring, you would either be 12 or 13 depending on your birthday {beginning of March to early May birthdays will be 13 since I go by the way it's done in Japan. I'm gonna say this flashback takes place roughly around May 10th}.)

You were in Tokyo, visiting family.
It was a fairly sunny day.
A nice enough day to go out on a walk within the streets of Tokyo.

Kozume Kenma decided that, for once in his life, he was going to leave his room and take a walk outside. Normally he wouldn't, but his neighbor and childhood best friend Kuroo Tetsurou began spamming him- texting him to hangout. Kenma didn't exactly want to go out, but he also didn't want to be around anyone at the moment. In the end, the short boy decided to leave his house and go on a walk around Tokyo- mainly as a way to prevent Kuroo from coming to his house and bothering him.

Kenma liked quieter areas that held less people. And at this time of the day, the nearby park was all but deserted. He felt it was the perfect place to relax and be away from everyone. The short, dark haired boy sat beneath a large tree, within the cool shady spot, and took out his handheld gaming console. Even though Kenma was outside, surrounded by nature and various other things, there was nothing more he could ever want to do other than playing his video games.

Unfortunately for him, peace and quiet was never something he could get outside of his bedroom- heck, he even had trouble being left alone with his games even while he was in his bedroom.

Today seemed to be no different... at least, in that sense.

"Look at that beauty!"

"No way, dude, she looks like she's still in middle school!"

"I'm not saying for me. How much do you think she'll go for in the market?"

Kenma perked up upon hearing the two men talking about a supposedly very beautiful girl. But just what they had said bothered the boy, though he was unsure as to why. He usually didn't care much for other people, so why this sudden interest?

The middle school first year looked up from his game, searching for the girl these two men had been talking about.

And there, he saw her. She really was beautiful. H/l h/c hair, glistening e/c orbs, s/c skin that shone beautifully under the sunlight.

Kenma couldn't take his off of this girl. Everything about her was mesmerizing. For the first time in his life, Kenma was entranced- and not just by a video game- by a real person. The boy's cheeks flushed into a medium shade of pink, his heart quickening in pace.

You, however, were unaware of all the stares aimed in your direction. You were simply enjoying the lovely day, along with all the beautiful flowers that you encountered on your walk through the park.

Suddenly, two large men approached you. You sensed a bad aura coming off of them, suddenly feeling a sense of danger. You tensed, worried about what these men could possibly want with a middle school girl- and a first year at that!
