You and Kenma continued walking around the festival. This time, you two were holding hands. You both had pink faces. Neither of you had uttered a word since you two started holding hands.

You decided to break that silence. "This is quite nice."

"What is?"

"Walking with you at festival while holding hands. It's almost like we're dating."

Kenma's blush darkened, not daring to look at you. "Yeah, it kinda is like that."

You look over at him. "Well? Would you say this is a date?"

"I don't know. I've never been on one before. What about you?"

You smiled. "I consider yesterday and today as dates."

His eyes widened, looking up to make eye contact with you. "What? Really?"

You nod. "That's fine, right?"

"Sure... but, why do you feel that way?"

You shrug. "They feel like dates. And I'd like to think that you and I are close enough to be going on dates."

You noticed him blushing harder. But he didn't dare to say a word.

You give him a soft smile. "What about you? Would you like this to be a date between us, Kenma?"

He gives a shy nod. "I'd really like to be on a date with you."

"Then it's a date!" You gave his hand a slight squeeze.

"You know something else that might make this date better?"

"What is it?"

Kenma smiles at you. "There will be fireworks tonight at the end of the festival. Would you like to watch them with me?"

You beam at him. "I'd love nothing more than to watch fireworks with you, Kenma."

He turns, gesturing you to come with him. "I know a good spot to watch them. There wouldn't be anyone there, so it's calm and quiet."

You walk right by his side, reaching out to grab his hand. "Sounds nice. How'd you find this place of yours?"

He noticed your hand, not stopping you from grabbing his. "I come here often to get away from others, I just happened to realize it's also a nice place to watch fireworks. It has a really nice view of all the scenery."

You grab his hand somewhat tightly, giving it a light squeeze. "I'll take your word for it."

He kept a small smile on his face, feeling the warm of your hand on his. "You'll just have to see it."

"I can't wait to see what you have to show me."

When you two arrived, Kenma pulled your hand slightly, bringing you closer to him. With his free hand, he points out to a specific direction. Your gaze follows his finger, looking out over the festival.

Your eyes widened at the sight. "Wow, it's beautiful."

He pulls you over to a spot where you two sit down. "I know. It's a great view of a sunset prior to the fireworks show, isn't it."

You nod, not taking your eyes off the sight in front of you. "I've never seen anything like this before. It makes me want to come here and look out over this place all the time."

Kenma chuckles. "Well, I wouldn't mind coming out here more often... if you want to come here with me."

You finally tear your gaze away from the sunset, looking at the boy beside you. "I'd love that. Let's do that together, Kenma."

The setter stretched his lips into a bigger smile. "Nothing would make me happier."

You lean closer to him, gently placing your head on his shoulder. "I'm so glad I got this chance to be alone with you, Kenma. No one interrupting... it's just perfect."

"Is it?" He was slightly tense, having not expected you to put your head on his shoulder.

You look up, meeting his gaze. "Because I wanted some time with you that the others have nothing to do with."

"What do you mean?"

"The others set us up on a date yesterday, they came up with a plan and we fell for it, just like they wanted. Yukie told me everything. They intended to have us some time together yesterday, just the two of us."

Kenma's eyes widened. "Really? So Kuro was never planning on showing up to the pc cafe?"

You shook your head. "He gave an excuse to get you there."

"And Yukie did the same to you?"

You shake your head. "No, she told me everything from the start. She trusted I'd go with the plan."

"Why?"

"Why, huh? Well, that's simple."

He gives you a questioning look. "What?"

"I like you, Kenma."

He freezes, not expecting a confession. "Really?"

You nod, smiling brightly. "Yes, really. I really like you, Kenma. This chance I've gotten to spend with you has been the best moments of my life."

His face flushed pink. "Well... um... I-"

He was cut off by the sound of the fireworks show starting. Both of you moved your attention to the light show, momentarily forgetting the conversation. Your eyes lit up at the beautiful light show in front of you. Kenma was right, this is the perfect place to watch the fireworks show.

Kenma looked at you, admiring the look on your face as you continued to watch the fireworks light up the sky. He brought his lips to your ear and whispered just loud enough for you to hear over the booms from the fireworks. "I like you too, Y/n."

Your eyes widen, your gaze being torn away from the fireworks and shifting onto Kenma. You look into his eyes for confirmation, to which he nodded. You both smile at each other.

You two lean in closing the distance between your guys' faces. And soon, your eyes close, lips meeting lips. You both quickly pull away, too embarrassed with what had just happened. You don't make eye contact again for a few moments. When you do, you both turn a dark shade of pink.

You notice how Kenma looks, the uneasiness in his eyes. You give a gentle smile, slowing leaning in once more. You press your lips to his, your eyes closed. It takes him a few moments, but he soon kisses you back.

You reach to wrap your arms around him, pulling yourself closer to his body. Slowly, he wraps his own arms around you.

And in the background, the fireworks continue as you and Kenma kiss.
