You sigh, nervously putting on the outfit Yukie helped pick out.
Today was the day. You were about to go out on a date with Kenma.
You were nervous, but also excited. You didn't know how things would turn out. But you hoped that things would work out in accordance with the plan Yukie shared with you.
You look at yourself in the mirror, carefully looking over the outfit. Since Kenma wasn't going to know this was a date, Yukie helped you pick out something that was cute yet casual. You thought it looked good when you two picked it out, but now you were unsure. You didn't know if Kenma would like it, or if he'd even notice it at all. And that made you worry about the whole ordeal.
Akaashi walked up to your room, knowing it was about time you'd get going. He knocked on you door, only entering once you've given the ok. "Aren't you supposed to be meeting Yukie and Kaori soon?"
"It's just Yukie. Why would you think Kaori's coming?"
"Ah, she said she was gonna make it a girls' day for the three of you."
You shook your head. "Kaori was unable to come. It'll just be me and Yukie."
Your cousin looked at you, noticing what you were wearing. "What's with the outfit?"
"Oh, Yukie came over and told me to wear it today. She thought it would be really cute."
Akaashi cursed at Yukie in his mind. "I see. It looks good on you." "Kenma might actually like it."
"Thanks. And you're right. I should get going now."
"Yeah. I'll see you later."
You give him a smile before you walk out the door. "I'll let you know how it goes."
You walk out the door, knowing Akaashi had no clue that you knew this was a date with Kenma. You'd act as if you were surprised by the turnout, just like how Yukie advised you to do. You walk all the way to the meeting spot, not receiving anything from Yukie to tell you things weren't going as planned. To you, everything was going just how you thought it would, which was how everyone else was hoping it would go.
Within a few minutes, you spot Kenma walking towards you, his phone in his hand. You noticed he was looking at it, most likely following directions on how to get to this place.
When he looked up, he met your gaze, surprise filling his eyes. "Y/n?"
You smile at him. "Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Kuro told me about this gaming place here, he said we should check it out. He thought I'd have fun, and it was his way of making it up for making me do stuff I didn't want to do. He said he'd meet me here. Why are you here?"
"Oh, Yukie wanted me to try this cat cafe here. She was going to meet me, but..." You look at you phone, pretending to get a message and reading it. "It seems like she's unable to attend."
Kenma frowned. "Sorry to hear that." He, however did get a message that he had to read, his frown deepening. "Kuro cancelled. Bokuto dragged him out somewhere last minute."
You stepped closer to him. "Why don't we go to this gaming place together then? It would be a shame for both of us to come all this way for nothing. And it's always better to be around someone else, right?"
He gave a small smile. "You're right. I guess we can check out this gaming place together."
And so, you two went into the little gaming building together.
Kenma made himself right at home, a small smile spreading on his lips.
You, however, never set foot into a place like this. "Do you like these kinds of places, Kenma?"
