Akaashi stands up, heading over to you. "Are you sure? I can cook instead, Y/n-sama."
You shake your head. "It's fine. I needed something to do, anyways. This is nothing." You enter the kitchen and begin to prepare the ingredients to cook a meal for everyone.
The boys sigh, looking at each other.
Kenma looked at where you had disappeared. "So, why did you think it was a good idea to come here tonight?"
Bokuto looked at the setter. "I thought we could start getting to know Y/n!"
Kuroo grinned. "It'll help you in the future, Kenma."
Kenma turned to look at them. "I don't want to do this. I'll really stick to admiring her from afar."
Akaashi sighed. "That's the smart move for the time being. I would've waited a few weeks before trying to pull this kind of thing."
Bokuto frowned. "But I was excited to be able to spend time with you and your cousin, Akaashi."
Akaashi sighed. "Look, she needs time and space to recover from Terushima."
Kuroo shrugged. "It doesn't hurt to start getting her and Kenma to spend some time together right now. It'll prepare them for when she is ready to start dating again. And you said it yourself, Akaashi, if anyone has any real chance of getting with her it would be Kenma."
"I know what I said. But I didn't expect Y/n-sama to be as hurt as she is right now. She felt so bad that she had to move."
Bokuto looked at his setter. "Doesn't that mean she wants a fresh start, though?"
"It doesn't mean she wants to jump into a new relationship!"
Kuroo frowned. "So we can't even try having her and Kenma get to know each other?"
Kenma shook his head. "I would've waited a month after she moved to start with that. I don't want her to think I'm gonna be anything like Terushima. I'm not here to hit on her, I'm just observing and providing any support she'll accept."
Bokuto crossed his arms over his chest. "But I wanna play matchmaker!"
You hear someone raise their voice, walking about out to the living room. "What about a matchmaker?
The boys flinch, turning to look at you.
Bokuto gulped. "Uhh... umm... Akaashi can explain!"
Akaashi sends a quick glare his way before turning back to you. "We were talking about how the girls might react to the news of your breakup, thinking they might try to hook you up with someone else."
"I already told Yukie I'm not interested at the moment, but you were right that they thought about that. I think I just need time by myself."
Kenma snorted. "Told you."
You raised a brow. "Is this some kind of debate I should've been a part of?"
Akaashi shook his head. "Please don't worry about it. Bokuto-san and Kuroo-san are just being idiots."
"I see. Let me know if you guys need anything." You head back into the kitchen.
Akaashi lets out a sigh of relief. "Please try not to gain her attention if you want to talk about this, please. I'm trying to keep her in a good mood."
Bokuto nodded. "I understand. Sorry, Akaashi."
Kuroo sighed. "That was a little close for comfort."
Kenma sighed. "You don't say. You guys are gonna end up confessing my feelings without me having a say in it."
Akaashi nodded. "Maybe save this kind of talk for a time when Y/n-sama isn't around."
After a while, you walked back out to the living room, seeing the boys having a conversation. "Uh... dinner's ready."
Akaashi looked up at you. "Thank you for making dinner, Y/n-sama."
"It was no problem. Your friends came over, so it would've been a bit rude to make you cook dinner for all of us."
Bokuto smiled at you. "You can cook, Y/n?"
"A little. I learned how to cook since my parents get too busy with work sometimes."
Kuroo grinned. "Impressive. Is there anything you can't do?"
"Apparently I'm not enough to keep Terushima happy."
Kenma flinched. "He's stupid for not thinking you're enough. You're a great person and deserve better than him... when you're ready of course."
"Thanks, Kenma."
Kuroo continues. "Can you clean? Take care of another living being?"
You look at him, slightly confused. "Yes. Why?"
"Then you're perfect wife material! Terushima doesn't know what he's missing!"
Akaashi shot him a look. "That's enough. Don't even bring him up."
"Thanks for that, Kuroo-san." You looked at the food on the table.
Kuroo gave a genuine smile. "It's nothing, don't feel the need to thank me. I have my own reasons for saying and doing everything I have."
You look up at him, a brow raised. "What do you mean?"
He grinned at you. "You might just find out with some time."
You look over at your cousin. "Do you know what he's talking about?"
Akaashi shook his head. "I try not to understand when they're being weird. You might just want to ignore him."
"I see." You continue eating your food, trying to ignore whatever was going on with the four boys.
Bokuto turned to Akaashi. "Akaashi, you will be at practice tomorrow, right?"
"Yes, Bokuto-san. You don't need to worry. I only took this afternoon off in order to help Y/n-sama get home. I won't be missing any more practices."
"Yay!"
Kuroo smirked. "Bokuto's really easy to deal with, huh, Akaashi?"
Akaashi sighed. "You learn how to deal with him when you're around him as much as I am."
You noticed that Kenma remained silent, just eating the food in front of him. "How's the food, Kenma?"
He looks up to meet your gaze. "It's really good. Thank you for making it."
"It was nothing. It's the least I could do since we have guests over."
The other three just watch you two interact with each other, smiles spreading on their faces.
Kuroo smirked. "You two seem to be getting along."
"Kuro, don't start."
You look at the taller boy. "What?"
Kuroo shrugged. "Seems like two shy people are just getting along. I think that's nice."
"I try to get along with others, especially if my cousin is friends with them."
Akaashi smiled at you. "I appreciate it."
Bokuto beamed. "Does this make us friends?!"
You look at him. "I don't see why not!"
"Progress!"
You blink. "What?"
"Ignore him, he's an idiot."
