You happily walk into the house, feeling like you had a successful date. On your walk back, you wanted to text Yukie everything, but Kenma decided to walk you home. So you had to hold off. Well... more like you became to focused with the conversation you two were having to think about texting Yukie the results of this date.
When you two arrived at your house, Kenma wished you a goodnight and told you he had fun. You told him you had a lot of fun and couldn't wait to do it again, then told him to get home safe and wished him to have a good night. He walked off and, once he was out of sight, you walked into the house.
Akaashi looked at you as you walked inside. "How was it?"
"Yukie cancelled after I already arrived."
"Oh, sorry to hear that. But... you were gone for a while. Did something happen?"
You held a dreamy smile on your face, turning to look at your cousin as if the best thing possible had happened to you today. "I met Kenma, he was going to the place next door with Kuroo. But Kuroo cancelled. And, since we were both out, we decided to hang out together."
Akaashi smiled, trying his best not to give himself away, still believing that you knew nothing of the setup. "So, what happened? What did you guys do?"
"We went into a pc cafe and played video games together, then went to a cat cafe for food. He actually walked me back here too."
Akaashi's eyes widened with shock. "He did what?" That was an unexpected piece of news.
"He walked me home. We talked the whole time. We might be doing this kind of thing every weekend. We tried making plans for next weekend to meet up at the same place."
Akaashi watched as you walked to your room. He was stunned. He didn't think this plan would work out as well as it did. He opened a group chat with everyone from Fukurodani and Nekoma, excluding you and Kenma. And he texted everything you had told him.
Yukie frowned at the news, having not heard it from you first. She grabs her phone and calls you.
You look at the caller id, answering immediately when you see who it is. "Hey, Yukie. What's up?"
"Why did Akaashi tell me how the date went before you did?" She whined.
"Keiji already said something to everyone?"
"Yeah. He texted a gc we have without you and Kenma. You really walked home with Kenma?"
You sigh dreamily. "Yeah. That's the only reason you didn't find out from me sooner than you did. Kenma offered to walk me home after we finished up at the cafe and we were talking nonstop, until we arrived at my house. We even said goodnight to each other. Oh! And we made plans to do it all again next weekend!"
Yukie squealed. "That's awesome! The plan is already working. You two will be dating in no time!"
"Maybe. But, I actually had a lot of fun playing video games with him. He taught me and seemed happy to do so. He even offered to take me to his house so he can teach me to play console games!"
"Oh my god! That's amazing. Kenma's also making moves. I knew this was a good idea!"
"It was. And we agreed to keep going to that cat cafe together. You should've seen the smile on his face. It was so cute and all I wanted was to just keep seeing it!"
Yukie squealed again. "Perfect! If you two keep meeting up like this, a relationship is inevitable."
You lay down on your bed, a big smile on your face. "I hope so. I had so much fun today. Even though it's not something I would normally do, it was amazing. It felt so right, like me and Kenma were meant to do all that together."
"Maybe you two are soulmates. There's no other explanation for this."
You chuckled. "Maybe. I just can't wait to do all this again with Kenma! I wonder what I should wear next weekend. Do you think I should dress a bit bolder, maybe make my intentions clearer?"
Yukie hums on her end. "Maybe. But you should still take things slow. We don't know Kenma's side just yet. We have to wait to see how he feels about all of this. The moment he initiates something, take it as a good sign."
"I will. I should go now. I need to shower and get ready for bed."
"Ok. See ya, Y/n."
"See ya, Yukie." And you hung up.
You sigh, rolling over on your bed. You get a text and immediately pull out your phone.
Kenma: I'm home
You: That's good
Kenma: Yeah. I had a lot of fun today
You: Me too
Kenma: Did you wanna go for a walk with me tomorrow?
You: I'd love to! Where would we go?
Kenma: Well... there's this festival going on near my house tomorrow. Would you like to go there with me?
You: Of course! What time should I meet you? And where should I meet you?
Kenma: How about I pick you up around 11am tomorrow morning?
You: That sounds great. I'll see you tomorrow!
Kenma: See you tomorrow, Y/n
You stare at the messages, rereading the conversation with a smile stretching wide across your face. You decide to tell Yukie about it.
You: Kenma just asked me to go out with him tomorrow!
Yukie: What?!
You: He said he'd pick me up in the morning so we can go to a festival together tomorrow
Yukie: That's great! Have fun!
You: I will!
You put your phone down, heading off to get showered and changed.
Yukie was on a call with the group chat she had told you about earlier. "Guys! I got some news!"
Akaashi sighed. "What is it?"
Yukie giggled in excitement. "Kenma asked Y/n to go with him to a festival tomorrow!"
Kuroo choked on water he was drinking. "I'm sorry... Kenma did WHAT?! He really invited her to the festival near our houses?"
"Yup! Y/n just told me!"
Bokuto cheered. "Alright! Now they're gonna go on another date!"
"And more to come. Apparently next weekend, they're also going to be spending time together. They'll be playing video games and going to a cafe again! And, he even said she could go to his house to play video games with him!"
Akaashi smiled. "At least things seem to be going smoothly."
Kuroo agreed. "I think we don't have anything to worry about. It seems they're working things out on their own."
Yukie chuckled. "I see a ship getting ready to sail."
