THE SCHOOL BUS

was a Friday night. There was a volleyball game and my friend and I went to watch it. Volleyball games where usually in October so our principal would have themes for each game. The theme for this one was Black Out, meaning you wore all black or as close to all that you could.
My friend invited some boys to hang with but they were getting bored. The first boy suggested we go and find something to do. We were too young to drive so we stayed near the school. We walked around for a good hour when the second boy said we should sneak into one of the buses.
My friend and I agreed not wanting to disappoint the boys. When we found one that was empty we got on. We played some games like truth or dare and twenty-one questions. Typical teen games. We turned off our phones thinking that when the games ended that we'd see people, Knowing it was time to leave.
What seemed like thirty to forty minutes went by we started hearing a tap. It wasn't hard but it was loud enough not to ignore. It got to the point we had the boys look for the source. My friend leaned over whispering, " They probably set something up so they could seem tough." I shook my head but the feeling I had in my stomach was a awful one.
Suddenly there was a loud bang! All of us jumped and I yelled at the boys. " Who did you tell about us being her?!" They just said that they hadn't told anyone. Then we heard it again. BANG! It was Behind us. The boys came to us holing us saying that it was just someone scaring us for fun. Then we saw him.
Right through the back window of the bus was a clown. He had a drooping smile, broken circles under his eyes, and puffed out hair. He had to be six feet tall but he was very skinny. Looking right at us he put his finger to his mouth smiling slowly. He hit his head onto the window. Then again! Over and Over! He wouldn't stop! The window started to crack! We were frozen.
We were at the front of the bus now, hiding under the seats. My friend was crying and the boys were just silent. I couldn't believe this was happening. I was thinking about every moment up to this point feeling hopeless.
I felt something gently shake my shoulder. The noise had stopped. We sat there waiting. We all where quivering with fear. That is when we heard a sound that we never thought would bring us joke. Police sirens.
When we left the school some other kids followed us. They saw the clown coming towards the bus and called the police. Never had we been so happy to have been spied on.
