Y/N and Darry's relationship from Pony's POV - Darry Curtis x Reader (kinda)

(Written in Italic are Pony's flashbacks:)

,,Hey Pony, how've you been?", Johnny asked, as he walked up to me at the vacant lot. I took a stroll before, and thought I'd chill here a bit.

,,Been alright, how about you?"

,,Same, same", Johnny answered, sitting next to me.

,,Hey, you know what I just saw?", Johnny asked, turning his head to me. ,,What did you see?", I asked back. ,,Y/N and Darry, kissing at your house! I'm happy for them, they seem so in love! And, Darry deserved it!" Johnny was talking in a bright voice, with a big smile on his face.

,,Yeah, they do that every now and then, but that reminded me..."
I started to think out loud, and then reminded myself of what I wanted to tell Johnny.

,,Johnny, did somebody ever tell you more about their relationship?" ,,No, not really, I just catch some snippets here and there, but that's about it. You should know much, though, right?" ,,Yeah, that's what I was thinking on...Well, lemme tell you..."

,,It wasn't that long ago, when they started dating. They've known each other for years at that point, same for me and Soda knowing her for so long, but neither of us expected them to fall in love. That was maybe two years ago, maybe even three years, but who knows. Anyways: The first time Darry mentioned Y/N, was, when she moved to Tulsa a few years ago, and was placed in the same class as him. They understood each other from the second on they've met, and hung out on every lunch break and so on. Then they started to hang out in their free time, and that was the first time me and Soda got to know her. She came over to pick him up, they wanted to go to the movies or so, and after I heard a knock on the door, I go to open it, and in front of me was the most beautiful person I've ever seen. Damn, she made me trip over my words, but luckily, Soda came to the rescue, haha. We let her in, and whilst Darry was still getting ready, me and Soda were sitting on the floor, looking up at her, and questioning her about whatever came to our mind. I think at some point, Soda mentioned to her, that we're probably annoying her, but she just shrugged it off, said, it isn't a problem. And just as we wanted to continue talking, Darry walked downstairs, up to her and gave her a hug. He apologized for me and Soda, and hoped, we didn't annoy her, and if, we'd be dead! Y/N shrugged it off again, and said, that the conversation was actually really cool, and that me and Soda were cute. And damn did that send my heart over the edge! So they went off, and the whole evening, neither of us could stop talking about Y/N, it was impossible! And so time went, she came over more, had dinner with us every now and then, and I think it was about a year later, when Darry asked her out. It was a coincidence that I saw it, but I was just on my way out for track practice, when they stood in the living room, Darry with a bouquet of roses and lilies in his hands. He handed them to her, and asked, if she'd like to be his girlfriend. As you know, she accepted, and from that day on, they've been going steady, and I think, it's gonna last forever. And with them being together as often as possible, her helping out in the house, hanging out with me or Soda, you or Steve, or Two-Bit and Dally, she brought in a big ray of sunshine. Darry's way nicer to me than he was before. Not that he wasn't, it just really didn't show. And I just love how happy Darry is around her. I'm not sure, if he said it word to word, but something along the lines of ,,It's the small things that she does, that I love the most about her". And since Mom and Dad's death, she's been a great help. It keeps Darry calm, knowing, that there's somebody who not only helps him look after his younger siblings, but also after him. And that concludes the story. What do you think?"

I looked at Johnny. He had a semi-surprised look on his face, his eyebrows raised, and his mouth slightly open. I raised an eyebrow, too, and waited a bit for his answer.

,,Man, Darry's real lucky to have such a girl like Y/N! I wished I did, too..."

I put my arm around him, and gave him a side hug. ,,Honestly, I think we will at some point. Well, I hope so at least!" I laughed at my own answer, and Johnny chimed in.

I'm glad I've got such a nice best friend, and Darry's got such a nice girl:)
