Sunghoon was tired.

In fact, he couldn't stand this life anymore.

It seemed that he was trapped in some circle with no escape for as long as.. well he didn't know for how long.
Firstly, he couldn't remember what his old home looked like, which bothered him a lot.
It meant that the boy felt like he had no roots, no connection to his own past self anymore.

It seemed that he had just woken up in this mansion. As if he life had started right at that moment.

However, Jayoung had explained everything: their home had burnt and she had taken them in in her own mansion. She had said that if Sunghoon couldn't remember it, it was probably because of the trauma, but he wasn't so sure.

Nothing did make sense.

Everyday he woke up, ate breakfast, then he'd either cook or clean. During the afternoon, he'd play with the other boys or just chill.
Every. Single. Day.

He didn't really want to stay any minute longer, but every time he tried leaving, he would get an intense headache that forced him to rest for at least two days.

And then everything started anew again.

Thing was, he hadn't said anything about all this to anyone.
The other boys seemed to trust Jayoung. In fact, they believed she had saved them.
They accepted whatever she said without ever questioning it.

Which disgusted Sunghoon.

He had been rather cold with her. He didn't want to talk to her, to look at her, or even to be in the same room as her.
Jayoung had obviously noticed his behavior, but had just assumed he was secretive. She even jokingly called him Ice Prince.

The only thing that motivated Sunghoon to stay was Heeseung and Jake. He obviously liked the other four boys, but not in the same way.
See, he liked Heeseung and Jake.

As for everything else, he had kept that information for himself. He had seen how Jake and Heeseung looked at each other, how they laughed together. However, he was sure that they knew about his feelings, and he was convinced they didn't want to be in a relationship in order not to hurt him.

He refused to stand in their way, even though he was the one getting hurt in the end.

Or maybe leaving would be the perfect way to let them be together. They wouldn't worry about me anymore, and they could be happy with each other.

"Hoon?"

I'll have to think about it.

"Sunghoon, hello?"

This time, the concerned finally noticed he was being talked to.
He looked up, only to see Jake's smile, which was so cute and bright that it almost burnt him.

"Hey" replied Sunghoon.

The boy was sitting in the library on the first floor. A book he had forgotten about laid on his knees.

"Are you okay?" asked Jake, sitting next to him.
"Yeah, just lost in a thought" admitted Sunghoon.
"Is it okay if we talk a bit?" added Jake.

Sunghoon instantly heard a note of despair in his voice, which broke his heart.

"Of course" replied Sunghoon. "I'm always there for you, you know that."

I'd do anything for you Jake, don't you know that?
Even considering running away so that you would be free to be with Heeseung.

"So uhm" started Jake, visibly awkward. "I need to tell someone something, but I don't know how."

And you came to the most awkward person in the group to ask for... social skill advice?

Sunghoon got confused.

No one ever came to him for this kind of problem. Sunoo was the usual help in such cases.

"Well, uhm" he started, having absolutely no idea what he should say next. "Why don't you just go to them and tell them what you need to?"
"Cause I'm overwhelmed just thinking about doing that" replied Jake, now sweating.

That's the only thing I have, please don't ask more from me...

"So, try not to think about it too much" he added.

Just tell Heeseung you like him, and please leave me out of it.

"You're right" whispered Jake.

A second passed and nothing happened.
The two young men were simply sitting on the library couch, Sunghoon's book still on his legs.

Then, Jake decided to move.
Sunghoon got ready to accept his absence. He liked having Jake next to him so much, and every time the latter left the room, Sunghoon just stood there, empty.

Why do you always end up leaving..

Sunghoon felt something weird happening with his hand.

Like, something really weird.

Sunghoon looked down before finally realizing what was going on.

"Is.. is it okay?" whispered Jake.

Sunghoon's heart almost stopped when he blinked and Jake's fingers were still intertwined with his.

"Sunghoon, please answer, you're scaring me" added Jake.

He involuntarily squeezed Sunghoon's hand out of fear, but the latter squeezed back.

"It's okay" he whispered. "I just don't understand."
"Really?" asked Jake chuckling. "To think that I was scared I was being too obvious."

Sunghoon looked at Jake. A slight blush had colored young man's cheeks and he was smiling.

"I like you" added Jake.

Sunoo went up the stairs as soon as he could.
He had been obsessed  with window he had noticed earlier and he needed to go check the library.
As he took the last step, he noticed Jake and Sunghoon walking towards him.
However, Sunoo was so focused on his objective that he didn't even notice something he should have.

Like the fact that Sunghoon was smiling at someone holding his hand.
