"Sunoo" called Jay from the kitchen. "Come on, you're late, we need to cook now."

I swear this boy is always late...

Jay hoped that the younger was on his way over because he had already started cooking. Well, for now it was only lighting up the fire and putting a huge pot of water to boil.

Thankfully Sunno opened the kitchen door a few seconds later.

Jay frowned. Sunoo hadn't said anything yet, which was quite unusual. He always talked a lot.

"Is everything okay?" asked Jay, looking at his friends.
"I huh, I don't really know" slowly replied Sunoo.

Jay took a step closer, he had forgotten about the vegetables he needed to cut.

"I was.. I think I was in the library" said Sunoo in a painful whisper. "I just remember hearing something on the ceiling, then..."
"Then what?" asked Jay, growing more concerned each passing second.

There was something weird in Sunoo's voice that Jay couldn't identify.

"Then I don't know what happened until you call me here" he added, finally looking into Jay's eyes. "As if I was asleep and that hearing my name woke me up."
"Sounds like you spaced out for a while" whispered Jay.
"Isn't it weird?" asked Sunoo.

To be honest, Jay had indeed noticed that Sunoo did space out quite often these days.

Should I tell him, though? I don't want him to worry.

Jay quickly thought about the whole situation. He simply didn't want to make things worse, but Sunoo deserved to know.

"I don't know it it's weird, but to be honest you have been doing that lately" admitted Jay.
"Oh" replied Sunoo. "So you noticed too?"
"Yep.." confirmed Jay, but Sunoo didn't seem to listen.
"Sometimes I'm somewhere and then I "wake up" somewhere else, but I don't even remember moving, you know?" added Sunoo.
"That is a bit weird" commented Jay. "Did you hurt yourself while spacing out?"

Sunoo frowned, trying to remember.

"No, I don't think so. At least I haven't noticed any bruises" replied Sunoo.

Then, his eyes grew wider.

"But today, I did feel.. well my mouth tasted like metal" he whispered.
"Metal?" asked Jay. "Like blood ? Perhaps you bit your tongue."
"That must be it" slowly answered Sunoo.

Jay knew that Sunoo was processing a lot of things, however time was passing and they did have eight mouths to feed.

Sunoo agreed on cooking, even though Jay had offered to prepare the meal on his own. They were cutting the vegetables Niki had grown in the garden to make a soup.

Suddenly, the door that lead outside of the mansion opened up and Niki jumped inside the kitchen.

"Niki!" greeted Sunoo with a heart melting smile.
"Hey" greeted the latter, visibly sweating.

Jay looked up and smiled at the newcomer before looking back at his vegetables. It wasn't uncommon for the younger to just barge in, Jay was used to it.
