(the first thing of turning back around after a nightmare... that's how I deal with my nightmares... Like I just turn around and fall back asleep like nothing happened)
Peter woke up from his nightmare in a pretty normal way. He looked up at the ceiling and exhaled for a moment. It felt like it was beginning to become normal with waking up from a nightmare. When he was younger he had a nightmare almost every day. When he got older it began to get less and less but after His uncle's death it began to pick up again. Now it's less and it feels like it was normal.
He was still looking at the ceiling and was debating whether to get up and seek out Tony or just turn back around and get back to sleep again. He did that often now because some nightmares weren't always that bad. He doesn't really remember his nightmare. After a few moments he falls back asleep again.
When he wakes up again it's worse than the last nightmare and he hates it. Because of the fact that he can barely move. It feels like he is still stuck in the nightmare and his breathing begins to speed up.
He tries to focus on the sounds around him but at the same time it makes it worse because there is barely sound around him. Normally he liked to listen to music when this happened but now after this. He just wants to get out of his room.
So after untangling himself from the sheets he begins to walk to the hallway. It's a bit wobbly and his breathing still isn't back to normal. But he tries his best.
When he finally ends up in the living room he breaths in. Deep this time and then let's it loose after a moment. He feels his heart beat getting slower and he begins to feel back at ease. He walks to the couch and let's himself fall on there.
He looks up at the ceiling for a moment when he remembers that Friday is there. He hopes that Tony is still awake but he doesn't know for sure. So he looks up at the camera. "Friday, is Mr. Stark awake?" He hopes she says yes otherwise he has to figure out what to do.
After a few seconds Friday answers him and he is happy with the answer. "Yes Peter, bossman is awake. Do you want me to notify him?" Peter doesn't answer the question because he doesn't really know if he wants Tony to come to him or that he should go to Tony.
But apparently him being quiet isn't the answer Friday wanted because the next moment Tony comes walking in. He looks around for a moment when he sees Peter laying on the couch.
He walks to him and smiles a little at the tangled hair and how he looks. "Hey buddy." He sits down next to Peter. Peter looks at Tony and sits up and then let's himself sort of fall and sort of lean against Tony. Tony wraps his arms around Peter and kisses his hair. "What's the matter?" Peter looks at Tony for a moment before answering. "Nightmares."
Tony's heart clenches at that. Because even though Peter is 16 he has already nightmares. And he knows that nightmares are normal sometimes. But having nigjtmares almost every night isn't fun. "Do you want to go back to bed and that I sleep with you?" Peter shakes his head. He doesn't want to go back to bed and have nightmares again.
"Can we just watch some movies?" Tony nods and stands up. He begins to do everything and Peter goes to the kitchen to get something to eat. Because even though it's almost 3 in the morning he is hungry.
He comes back with some candy and popcorn and lays down on the couch again. Tony also comes back and sits by his head. Peter then decides that laying next to Tony isn't going to happen so he half sits up and looks at Tony. Tony looks back at him. "What do you want, bud?" Peter shrugs his shoulders and then looks like he wants a hug. So Tony shuffles a bit and draws him into a hug. With Peter on his chest and he still sitting.
He goes to lay down and Peter goes with him. This ends up with Peter laying half on top of him and his legs on the other side of him. He wraps his arms around him and smiles into Peter's hair.
They fall asleep this way without even watching a movie.
Tony wakes up the next day with Peter still on his chest and also a bunch on texts. Some are from Pepper, because he wasn't by his first meeting. The others are from May and Happy. He asks Friday to make a picture and then sends it to the groupchat they are all in for Peter.
