23. Freespace - The Umbrella Academy

Summary: Five and Vanya both had troubles with controlling their powers so they decided to help each other without people knowing. Because of this Five does know about Vanya's/Viktor's powers and wants to help her but when he wants to say it something doesn't sit right. So when the final battle is he argues against Luther and tells them to wait and he steps forward.

I have absolutely no idea how some things work with Five's powers. So this is an AU.

When Five was younger he always has trouble in controlling his powers. It didn't really have to do with the fact that he didn't know how to control them. It was more the fact that it was hard to not rip space into pieces and start something big. Because of this he was sort of afraid to use his powers the fullest.

Whenever he had a rough day and his powers didn't work like he wanted to he would go to Viktor to ask for help. He also had some trouble into controlling his powers. They would sometimes try and use their powers together to get used to their powers.

Because of this they got a bond. That bond was that whenever one of them would get overwhelmed the other would know about that and would walk/teleport to them to help them calm down.

Most of the time this was after their dear dad would leave. Five couldn't really comfort someone but his powers would help him. Not only were his powers traveling through time but it also was getting comfortable. The blue hue around his powers were to help him be comfortable with his powers.

This was a result of both his and Viktor's powers. They were sort of fused with each other. They were also stronger when they were around each other.

When Viktor began to take his pills both Viktor and Five felt like something was wrong. Because of the fact that both their powers fused Allison's powers didn't fully work. So because of this they always felt like that something was missing around them. Sure Five knew something more.

But he didn't want to freak Viktor out by revealing that yes he has powers and that he wasn't ordinary. When he went forward in time and got stuck. He knew that he should've said something. Because now he couldn't say something anymore.

When Five got back home and was back in his body from before he went back he knew that the something missing was because of Viktor. He knew this because his powers began to loose their blue hue and their comfort. But the moment he was back around Viktor he felt that comfort back.

When Viktor was gone again but not that far away he knew that it had something to do with Viktor. But because he got older and lost some of his memories of his siblings because he was gone for that long he didn't really remember everything anymore.

It was hard for him to remember their faces. And sometimes he had to tell himself what their powers were. That way he could remember them. But the lomger he was gone the more he began to forget. It started with their laughing and their faces but the longer he was away he more he began to forget their powers. Because that wasn't relevant anymore.

What was relevant were their names. Their names and their numbers. Because of this he forgot the powers from Ben, Viktor, Klaus and Diego. The reason he didn't forget about Allison and Luthers powers was because he was cautious around them whenever he was around them when he was younger.

When he came back into his younger body he began to remember those things again. But something about Viktor didn't feel right. He still felt like he forgot something important. So when he heard about the fact that Viktor had powers and how he forgot about them he somehow got his memories back.

In the end it didn't have to do with getting older. Reggie had told Allison to let Five forget about his family if he would ever leave. But becauee he didn't want to forget he didn't forget all of it. He would always remember their names. What Reggie didn't know was that because Five had time powers that some things would never work on him.

When he remembered everything it was around the sake time that Allison got hurt. It felt the same when he and Viktor would play around with their powers. Because of this Five wanted to ge the one that wanted to find Viktor. When that didn't happen and they found his friend he knew that something bad would happen.

So when he had talked with Diego he held an eye to the other siblings and what they did. Because of this he ended up going down after Allison went down with the elevator.

Here he came into a basement. He opened the door and here Klaus, Diego, Luther and Allison were arguing. He decided to bo pay attention to them and walked to the cell.

He placed a hand on the door. "Oh number 7." He knew he couldn't hear him. But even back then they had broight back some styles to communicate with each other.

So he did something he hadn't done in decades. He teleported his voice in there. Viktor looked up with a shock. He stood up and walked to him. Because even though the others wouldn't help Viktor he was willing to do it.

He also was willing to risk getting punched by Luther. Because of thid he decided to teleport into the cel so they wouldn't be disturbed.

"Don't you remember that time when you helped me with my powers?" Viktor shook his head and for a moment Five was confused. When he remembered what happened and shook his head. "Sorry my bad." He opened his hand and made a small portal in there. Then he began to think of all the memories they had together from his perspective and then placed his hand against Viktor's head.

This way Viktor would see it happen and get those memories. (Thanks Harry Potter for that idea) Viktor closed his eyes when he got the memories and they stood there together for a moment.

Five knew that it would be hard for Viktor to train his powers again to their level and how good he was in controlling them. But Five was willing to help him.

"Let me help you with the control." Viktor opened his eyes and smiled a little. "I'm so scared. She made me forget." The cell began to shake a bit but because Five was used to Viktor getting angry from when they were younger he didn't really look at it or even pay attention to it.

"Because Reggie wanted her to do it. When we were younger we could only listen to him." Viktor nods a bit at that and calms down. "I can help you get used to your powers again. Take my hand and then we will train again." Five held out his hand and smiled a little bit. When Viktor grabbed his hand Five teleported out of the cell in front of their siblings. But Five would never let them close to Viktor because Viktor would be training hard for the next couple of months with him.

When they were back on the same level as before Allison made Viktor forget about them. Five let them get closer. Although he was always looking at Luther and Allison with eyes on them so they wouldn't do something.

Because they had a bond and that bond would never go away again. Not on his watch.

I- wow. Half way through I looked back at the prompt and was happy that it was a freespace. Otherwise I would have gone off the prompt 100%.
