21. Umbrella - The Umbrella Academy

What did you expect to happen?

Summary: While the siblings are in the rain grieving their brother under the umbrellas. On the other side of the umbrella is Five. He is also under an umbrella but for a whole different reason. He is trying to survive while also grieving his siblings.

When Five disappeared everyone thought for a long time he would reappear after a few days. Because sometimes when Five was younger and didn't have control over his powers yet he would sometimes disappear and would reappear again when he could somewhat control those powers.

But when days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months they began to loose hope and some of them hoped that he had finally found a way to escape their father.

But when he hadn't appeared a year later their father decided to hold a funeral. Ironically at that day it was raining so they had to use umbrellas.

On the other side where Five was. He had to use an older umbrella that had somehow survived the apocalypse to protect himself from the rain and the ash that would fall.

When Ben died the siblings thought that they would see Five because they thought that he was watching from afar and would come when something bad happened. But when that didn't happen they held a funeral for Ben. But not only did they remember Ben. They also remembered their other brother. Five.

It was snowing on Ben's funeral. What they didn't know was that when it was raining that it was a sort of sign for them that it would take a few more years until Five would come back.

Because sometimes when Five and Viktor would be with each other Viktor could make it rain and Five could change how long it would last. So a part fo the rain on Five's funeral was also Viktors powers as if they were seeking for their counterpart.

What Viktor didn't know was that the rain stopped earlier then before it was actually meant. Which meant that his powers had found Five and that it had stopped the rain when they had found Five.

When Ben's funeral was held they held the Umbrellas above their heads while Five was trying to figure out how to use the umbrella as a memory for when he was by the academy.

When Five came back home from the future there were umbrellas. And his umbrella came with. As a sort of reminder of what happened. That umbrella only came with him because he had sort of fucked up the time travel.

The umbrella would stay with him until the siblings would split up in the end. As a way to remind everyone that he wasn't there for most of their lives but also as a reminder that he was there when he needed them the most.

The last part reminded me a bit of avatar not gonna lie.

Anyway I hope you guys liked this chapter. I honestly tried my best with this one. But yeah...
