20. Trees - Arrow

Some young Ollie

Summary: Oliver liked to hide in trees when he was younger just for fun. Now that he is older he also hides in them. But for different reasons. 

Alternate universe sort of. In this universe Oliver went to the military and did all that. But when he got home he went on the gambit. He ended up on the island having not eaten that well and when he met Slade. They became best friends and over those few months they even came to know that they were in love. So when Shado came she hadn't expected to see them that on sinc. Anyways on with the story!

Oliver is hiding in a tree when he decides that it is the perfect time to reflect to the past. When he was younger and would climb into trees for fun.

When he was younger he always found it fun to hide into trees whenever Thea, him, Tommy and sometimes some other kids would play hide and seek. He would most of the time win when he was hiding in a tree because the kids would forget to even look up.

When he got older he still hid in trees. Not because he wanted to play hide and seek. Or he would sort of play hide and seek. But then he did it with the media. When his parents told him to not do it anymore he still did it.

Why you may ask? Well he wanted to be strong and he had the feelong that if he would climb into trees that he would get stronger the more often he did this.

When he got older he began to get a bit obsessed with the military and he always told his parents that he would enlist there. They didn't believe him at first. But when he was 16 he went there and he became the youngest recruit there. Only because he wanted to be in the military and because he wanted to be stronger.

When he came home from abroad he went on the Gambit because he wanted to spent some time with his father. What he didn't expect was for it to end this way and his father to die.

He didn't really react to it that much because he had seen a lot of dead in the military but he still felt like he should've said something. Like how he could go a few. More days without food. He had learnt that from the military.

When he came on the island he did get shot by Yoa Fei and he didn't know what he was saying. But after they split up and his little torture session. He knew that he should hide in the trees again. That way he could get to see their motives.

This is also the reason why he knew this much from them. When he was caught however he was caught when he was looking for food. Here he decided to act like he was a helpless boy.

So when he met Slade he didn't really know if he should act like a helpless boy or as a militaire. Fortunately Slade made that decision by tying him up. He had dislocated his tumb years earlier because of something in the military and it never healed properly but that way he came to know that he could escape bonds easier.

So they became mates. Not friends. No it was more a enemy and friend relationship between them. When he however saved Slade from getting shot at the camp and he got shot but just shot the one that shot him he got some approval from Slade. Because of this they became friends.

Oliver would sometimes spie on Fyers. He would always be in the trees and he sometimes would jump in front of Slade whenever he saw him and he knew that Slade wasn't armed to scare him shitless.

When they met Shado however they were more then friends. They felt the same about each other but they couldn't get together. Not when they were on the island. So they acted like friends but sometimes they would act all concerned for each other and would act a lot like boyfriends. Because of this Shado thought it would be a good idea to just be friends with them.

In the end this was a good idea when Sarah came back. Because Shado and Sarah ended up together. They had the same thing as Slade and Oliver had. Because they wanted to focus on surviving. In the end because of these decisions they would survive the island for 5 years together. And when they would come back they would he called the power couples.

This difference was only because of Oliver’s decisions. He had decided to still climb trees and had also decided to go to the military.

They would also survive so much more. When they came back from the island. They would be all the vigilante. Sarah on the other hand would be trained some more by an outsider. And Shado and Sarah would end up being the best woman relationship someone had seen.

Oliver and Slade however were told a lot of times that they shouldn't be together by Moira. They never cared about that.
