2. Time - The Umbrella Academy

Summary: Five has some issues with time

When Five was younger he would age less faster then his siblings. He was also shorter then his siblings. He sometimes hated this because of the fact that he was looking younger.

But when he came to know that he still felt the same age as he was he also came to know something different. He could go faster with teleporting if he wanted to. He only had to not think about his age and he would go faster.

When he ended up in the Apocalypse he had some time to play with his powers. Here he came to know that he could play with his powers. But also could manipulate them. He could manipulate them in a way that he could change some things. Like the age of the food he sometimes found. This way he could still eat it.

The longer he was in the Apocalypse he also came to know more about his powers. For example he came to know that he could change his own age. But not in the way you would think. No he could change his body and trick his body he was younger then he was in his mind.

So when he was in the commission he decided to tell them he was in fact 58 years old. When in reality he was older. They didn't know that he sometimes could go forward in time in little bits. But going back in time was something different. So sometimes he would spend time in the 'future' and sometimes he would go back in time to when he was still in the Apocalypse. Because of this he ended up being close to 70.

When he came back from the commission and apocalypse he actually manipulated his body into his younger selve. This way his siblings would recognise him. So the talk about the fact that he did something wrong. It wasn't right.

But they didn't need to know that. He also came to know in the Apocalypse that if he was hurt that he could change his body towards after the wound healed. Or if he was shot that he could teleport his body itself back in time and let it come back to the time he was in to let it think he was never shot. This way he didn't have a shot wound anymore.

When he came into the commission however he never did this because he didn't want them to find out he was that good with his powers. They only thought he could jump spaces. But in reality he could change much and much more then they thought. He had to make adjustments in his math skills because of the fact that he now knew more about his powers then before.

He also had some difficulties with time after this because he was afraid he would do something with earth by accident if he did it too much. And sure if he was the only one living it didn't really matter but the longer he was at the commission the more he began to think about the fact that maybe he was messing with more then time.

So when he came to know that his last mission would be killing JFK he didn't do it. But at the same time he did do it. He only willed his mind to go back in time again when he was home and killed JFK from somewhere else.

He wanted to tell Diego this when they ended up in 1983 but they didn't need to know. This was also the reason why he didn't suspect it was Vanya/Viktor that was the one that caused the apocalypse. He honestly thought he was the one who did it.

When he was back in 2019 with his siblings he wanted to have some time alone and here he did make a live for himself. Without the apocalypse. What his siblings didn't know however. Was that when you get a kid and you have time powers that that kid will get your powers.

This was the reason why he never was that surprised when he lost his powers. He wanted to be surprised but he wasn't. When he walked away from there he went to the apartment his wife and his kid lived in. His kid helped become older. He was 30 when he stopped using time travel on himself. His mind however? His mind was 72. And he deserved the time when he stopped messing with time travel.
