Small Road trip
(S4, Ep 8)

Since El disappeared the others made me sit down from low energy and they were now discussing how we're going to get weapons.

Eddie dropped a paper on the table," check this out. The war zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for uh...well uh, killing things, basically.

"You think fake rambo has enough guns there?" Robin asked, "Is that a grenade?"

I walked towards them on the left side of  Lucas, "How is it even legal?"

"because it's california."

Eddie shook his head smiling sarcastically, "Well, lucky for us it is, so...this...this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we stay clear of the main roads, we oughta be able to abound cops and, uh, angry hicks.

Erica then cut in, "If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the war zone."

"Normally, i'd agree but we need the weapons. so I think it's worth the risk." Nancy pushed herself off the table now standing normally. 

lucas nodded, "me to"

Dustin shook his head. "But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back."

"No way in hell,"

"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie asked.

"You got some car we don't know about?" Steve looked at him confused.

Eddie pushed himself off the table returning to his full height, "It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh...it'll do."

Eddie then turned to Max ," Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?"

We then went sneaking around with Eddie in the front and me behind him.

We snuck around to a trailer and Eddie opened a window and climbed in. I jumped up after him, landing on him, making him let out a groan.

I shushed him by taking off his Jason mask, "That was suffocating."

Eddie locked the door and made his way to the front. He started cutting a bunch of wires making me lift up a brow. And I felt Steve behind me, "Where'd you learn how to do this?"

"Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to gosh or play ball, My old man was teaching me how to hot wire." Eddie answered by passing me the wires, "Now I swore to myself I wouldn't end up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder,  and soon, grand theft auto. so I'm really living up to the Munson name."

Robin then joined in, "Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving."

"ditto."

"oh, I'm just starting to sucker, Harringtons got her, don't you big boy."  Eddie flashed his amazing smile while I looked at him amused.

"big boy?" I whispered silently, laughing.

The car then started making the people who the trailer belong to bang on the front door.

"Shit." Eddie and I cursed together as Eddie got up and grabbed my hand moving to a table inside.

"Everyone hang onto something!" Steve orders

"Drive, steve, drive!" Dustin yelled

"Move it Steve!"

Steve then smashed his foot on the gas making everyone fly back as Eddie moved his grip from my hand to my waist.

"Shit they look pissed." Dustin looked back from the window.

"It's not everyday you lose your house and car in one fell swoop." Robin told him as Steve was still telling us to hold on.

When we got to the road and it was smooth sailing from heat we let out a breath as Steve laughs could be heard, "That wasn't so bad right."

I just rolled my eyes and fell back into eddie closing my eyes and letting out a sign of relief.

We've been on the road for sometime now and I still haven't moved in a while as Eddie stroked my hair.

"What are you gonna do?" I asked him. making him hum, "After it's all over...what are you going to do."

I looked up at him seeing him lost in thought, "well we're gonna get my name cleaned, then i'm finally gonna pass ms O'Donnell's class."

I laughed at his answer, shaking my head, "what about you sweetheart" Eddie's question made me freeze. Truth was she didn't know anymore before vecna she had her entire plan of getting out of hawkins, going to college but now she didn't have a clue anymore. She knew that no matter what, there was a chance monsters like vecna would show up again, target her and those she loved. Hawkins needed a protector one with abilities and with eleven gone all they had was her whether they realized it or not.

"I don't know, haven't really thought of it." Eddie furrowed his brows at her answer. He figured that the young cheerleader would have everything planned out. He also figured she would have a lot of options because he knew how smart she was. Hell the majority of hawkins high knew it.

What he didn't know was that good grades didn't equal intelligence 100% of the time. She gained her grades with the help of Mike and dustin. They've been slipping because of her mopping a regret that as much as she wished she could take back she knew that she was allowed to grieve. Her boyfriend, her ex boyfriend, was dead because of her, because she was too slow and she couldn't handle that.

So he didn't answer her, he just tightened her grip on her slightly messing with the strands of her hair as the two went through the car ride in silence.

This is like half filler since it's been a while since I've updated but I hope you like it. I know updates on this have been really slow but I've just been focused on other future books and now I have 19 drafts that I have to finish and plan when I will publish them. Not to mention that i've come up with over 200 books and i'm probably gonna think of more ideas because it's more fun to think of characters and add them in your mind then to actually write but hope you guys enjoyed.
