Earthquakes Suck
(S4, Ep 7)

We've been walking for a bit while robin has been complaining the whole time. I don't blame her, all this walking is making my feet hurt.

"couldn't we have tried a road, or something just slightly less creepy?" Robin asked sounding tired

"roads would make it easier to spot us and since we don't know how to leave...it wouldn't be the best option." I answered her walking beside Eddie.

"I think we're getting close. We're almost out of here. Don't worry." Nancy reassured her, leading us to her house.

The two walked faster leaving me with the boys. "Eddie. Eddie. Hey, man. Uh..." Steve called for Eddie's attention causing him to look at me in question to which I just shrugged and let go of his hand walking to the girl but still able to hear their conversation.

"Listen I just uh...I just wanna say thanks for saving my ass back there." Steve told Eddie

"Shit. you saved your own ass, man. I mean, that was a real Ozzy move you pulled back there." Eddie responded making me playfully roll my eyes of course he had to insert black sabbath to the conversation.

"Ozzy?" Steve looked at Eddie confused.

"When you took a bite out of that bat. Ozzy Osborne? Black Sabbath? He bit a bat's head off onstage...?" Eddie trailed off

"I don't."

"you know? Doesn't matter."

"no"

"It's very metal, what you did. That's all I'm saying." Eddie complimented even though I don't know if Steve knows it's a compliment. Steve thanked him anyway.

"Henderson told me you were a badass. Insisted on the matter, in fact." Eddie tried making conversation

"Wait, Henderson said that?" Steve questioned.

It was ironic really that the guy Steve was jealous of because he stole Dustin is the same person that just admitted Dustin bragged about Steve.

"Oh yeah. Shit. Kid worships you, dude. Like, you have no idea. It's kinda annoying, to be honest."  Eddie explained which Steve let out a "sheesh" sound

"I don't even know why I care what that little shrimp thinks, but, uh, guess I got a little jealous, Steve." Eddie admitted. Steve looked at him.

"I guess I couldn't accept the fact that Steve Harrington was actually a good dude. Rich parents, popular, chicks love him. Not a douche? No way, man. No way. That, like, flies in the face of all the laws in the universe and my own personal Munson doctrine. Still super jealous as hell by the way." Eddie got closer to him, making Steve push him away.

"Which is why I would never have jumped in that lake to save your ass. Not under any, uh... normal circumstances." Eddie admitted stopping when they heard growling.

"nope. Outside of D&D, I am no hero. I see danger and I just turn heel and run. Or at least that's what I've learned about myself this week."

"Give yourself a break, man." Steve told the curly head.

"See? The only reason I came in here was 'cause those ladies came in straight after you." Eddie told him, "Now, I was too ashamed to be the one who stayed behind especially if Ally got hurt coming to this shit hole."

"But ally, if I didn't hold her back she would have gone in head first not just her but wheeler right there, she didn't waste a second. Not one second. She just dove right in,  Now I don't know what happened between you two, but if I were you I would get her back. 'cause that was as unambiguous a sign of true love as these cynical eyes have ever seen." 

Steve stared at the three before turning to Eddie, "what about ally. you just admitted trying to make sure she didn't get hurt here. I'm not the only one who should follow your advice."

I smiled hearing the boys making me not watch where I was going, almost stepping on a vine.

Eddie looked at him before looking to where Allison was moving, carefully to avoid any vines as her hair was still a bit wet watching her smack her hair away when it got on her face made him smile. Anything she does makes him smile.

The moment got interrupted when the ground started shaking again making everyone fall. "God dammit!"

"Here we go again.." Eddie gritted his teeth

"Shit!" I yelled grabbing onto robin and Nancy

"Okay second on my list of least favorite things, earthquakes. Seriously, I'm unsteady as it is." Robin hid he face in my arm as i did the same with Nancy until Nancy started get up wobbling as she did,

"Nance?!"

"Where are you going?!"

"Nancy!"

I got up after her, seeing her stare straight ahead, "I know this area."

Steve, Eddie and Robin joined us staring straight ahead with us. "c'mon"

Eddie grabbed my hand following Nancy.

A/N

Hey guys this is a shorter chapter but the luckily we only have one or two more chapters before the end of act on and into Act two!! And as of right now i'm rewatching the black phone then tomorrow i'm gonna watch resisting roots that has Brady Hepner in it then Boys (1996) which has Wiley Wiggins in it, he has my heart. Mitch Kramer from dazed and confused damn guys go watch it and hopefully you'll get what i'm talking about anyways. Keep in mind that with this book I am also working on other books that will come out in the future I have some in mind of what will come out since I have like 12 drafts and over 100 ideas so stay tuned!
