Jumping through time

(Pov Cyno)
3 months later.
4pm
"But Collei how am I supposed to ask him??"
The sun dove through the roof of her house illuminating the table.
"You love him don't you? Just be yourself"
I took a deep breath.
"Alright but this is huge and what if he says no"
"Your an idiot if you think he will say no"
Taking a sip of my tea I thought.
Tonight.
I will ask Nari to marry me at the top of the hill where we shared our first kiss.
Saying goodbye to Collei I left through her little front door and towards the home Nari and I had being sharing for around a year.
Opening the door I spotted Nari in the kitchen humming a soft tune.
I smiled to myself and stepped in behind him.
Wrapping my arms around his waist he spoke.
"Done at Collei's already? I was just about to prepare dinner-"
"No-o Nari I want to have a picnic tonight, I have prepared a spot"
He blinked at me and smile before replying.
"Alright that does sound nice, when do we leave?"
"Once I pack the food Nari"
I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before wandering off the pack our food.
Already ahead of myself Collei and I spent the afternoon balking the food for the proposal.
Placing the small packages items into the basket and stepping into the bedroom.
Opening my cupboard I pulled out the small green box.
Looking around I lifted the lid to reveal the gorgeous emerald ring I had picked out last month.
Closing it I slid it into my pocket.
If my timing was correct we would be able to see the Auroras of the night sky at approximately 6pm.
I sighed and walked my way back into the kitchen.
Closing up the basket I went looking for Nari, I found him putting in his shoes by the door.
I knelt down and tied them up for him.
He smiled at me and stood up.
Reaching for the basket I took his hand in one and the basket in the other.
As we were walking down the path towards the hill a swift movement of deja vu hit me.
Images of Nari and I hugging by the water, his beautiful hair flowing in the end.
Eyes laced with happy tears and a large warm smile.
The scene upon the hill where we both shared that life changing kiss in the moonlight.
It wasn't long before we reached the hill.
The grass was soft and the sun was beginning to set slowly down the hill.
Nari and I ran up the hill like school children giggling, laughing and slipping over.
We made it to the top and we both fell onto the grass a mess of laughter and pure love.
I hugged him gently and he smiled into my eyes as they met.
Opening the basket I placed a soft blanket down for us to sit on.
The small fruit pies and cakes piled in the middle of the blanket.
Nari immediately dove into the food stuffing his face with cake.
He spoke with a mouthful and cream covering his cheek.
"These are damn good who made them??"
I laughed and wiped the cream off his cheek with a cloth.
"Collei and I made them Nari"
I stared into his deep green eyes as he chewed away at his cake.
He was a beautiful specimen.
The sun was almost completely set and I checked my watch.
5.57pm
I took a deep breath.
Nari had finished his cake and was watching the sun with me.
5.59pm
My nerves were getting worse.
What if he does say no?
A bright light beamed above us and colours shot through the night sky.
Nari gasped the stood up to look at all the colours.
His eyes lit up with joy and admiration as his eyes reflected the deep greens and purples within it.
It was time.
While he was distracted I got onto one knee and shakily pulled out the little green box.
It was now or never.
Opening it I held it up to Nari.
I watched him dance around and turn to me with a large smile.
His eyes fell down on me and they sparkled, filling with tears.
He covered his mouth with his hands and his whole body was shaking.
I took a deep breath and stared into his eyes.
Colours still beamed above us reflecting our perfect moment.
"Tighnari. Forest watcher. My perfect boy- no my soulmate."
I looked down and sighed to calm my nerves.
Returning to his gaze I finished my sentence.
"Will you marry me?"
Nari fell on his knees in-front of me and started balling his eyes out.
"Y-Yes you idiot!"
He yelled as he flung himself onto me.
I felt my eyes welling up with tears as we hugged.
"You could have brought me an onion ring and I would have said yes Cyno. Your the love of my gosh damn life. Thank the archons for letting us meet"
This time I did cry as I squeezed him tight in my arms.
"A-Are you going to put it on?"
"F-Fuck yes-"
He let go of me and held out his shaky left hand.
I pulled the emerald beauty from its box and slid it onto his ring finger.
"It's a perfect fit... Cyno how did you know-"
"Because I love you 'idiot'"
He smiled and started crying again as he leaped back in for a hug.
I ended up on my back on the blanket with him hugging me tightly as we both cried.
The lights above us began to dim.
"Cyno when did you decide to do this?"
I wiped my tears and breathed out.
"Around a month ago I had it planned but kept finding the wrong moments. Until I found out about the lights from Collei that I decided this would be perfect"
He smiled at me softly and I wiped his tears.
Things would be different now.
We were bonded for life.
