"Ad Astra Abyssosque, welcome to the Adventures Guild!" Katheryne greets as you approach her.
"Good morning Katheryne! Is there any commissions for me?" You ask.
"Good morning Y/N-san! Well, I've got three commissions on the list here. Two A rank commissions and one S rank commission. The A rank commissions are—"
"Ah just tell me the details of the S rank one!" You exclaim and Katheryne seems a little taken aback.
"But Y/N-san—"
"Katheryne, are you telling me you don't trust my skills?" You question.
Katheryne sighs as she tells you about this S rank commission. You accept it with confidence as you head out to Dragonspine for the commission.
After a while, you arrive at the foot of Dragonspine and you check your map, where Katheryne had marked the location of the commission.
"It's just defeating a giant Snow Lawachurl by the tree. What's the worse it could happen?" You question as you confidently head for the Lawachurl.
You are a pretty stubborn Adventurer and this isn't the first time you've taken an S rank commission, despite Katheryne's protest.
She thinks that you "aren't ready" for S rank commissions. However, today you were finally going to prove them wrong!
You were going to show them that you are capable of adventuring alone. Because of how protective your parents are, they never let you travel alone.
S rank commissions were meant to be for those of higher level and moreover it's a solo commission. Stubborn as you are, today's one happen to be in Dragonspine, one of the most dangerous place in Teyvat/Mondstadt.
You climb up Dragonspine and followed your map and you finally see the Snow Lawachurl sitting by the tree.
You draw out your sword and begin charging right into combat. However, it was only when the Lawachurl begin to summon other hilichurls, then you knew that you alone couldn't do it.
While you got distracted by your thoughts, the Lawachurl swung its arm and send you flying. Just when you were about to hit the tree or whatever was behind you, someone came and swoop you into their arms.
You slowly open your eyes to see someone whom you were totally not expecting.
"M-Master Diluc?! W-Why are you here?!" You question.
"I heard from Katheryne that you came to Dragonspine. Seriously Y/N, I thought you knew better" says Diluc as he carefully puts you down.
"Are you saying I can't do it too?! Why is everyone like this?!" You yelled but you stop.
"Sorry... Didn't mean to yell" You apologize.
"Stay here. I'll handle that guy" says Diluc and he goes into combat with his claymore.
You watch as Diluc skillfully slays the Lawachurl as it left behind the mask. You sigh as your heart clenches in pain.
Once again, the 5th S rank commission you tried to complete ends with someone doing it for you again.
"Come on, let's head back" says Diluc but you refuse to move.
"Y/N?" You ignored him as you lean against a tree while looking at your feet.
Diluc sighs as he takes off his coat and puts it over you.
"Master Diluc?"
"We can talk after we get you some warmth. Your lips are pale" says Diluc as he sets up camp nearby and used his Pyro vision to give you warmth.
"*sigh* I'm pathetic..." You said.
"Why would you say that?" Diluc questions.
"I mean... This is the 5th time I failed to complete the S rank comms alone! At this rate, Mum and Dad will never let me out of Mondstadt alone!" You cried out.
"Why do you want to go out of Mond so badly?" Diluc ask.
"Well... The stories I hear from Lumine and Paimon sounded so interesting... I heard that they're in Sumeru now and well... I just wanna see the world myself" You said.
"You're slowly improving. I think it won't be long before you can go out on expeditions outside of Mond" says Diluc.
"You really think so?" Diluc nods and it made you smile.
"But Master Diluc, what brought you to Dragonspine anyway?" You ask.
"I had business at Angel's Share and when I was leaving Katheryne told me about your commission" says Diluc.
"Ahh... Thanks anyway Master Diluc" You said.
"Let's head back. I'm sure Katheryne and your parents are worried" says Diluc and the two of you prepare to leave.
"Master Diluc... How is it that you are always saving me?" You couldn't help but to ask.
All 5 of your attempt at S rank commissions ends with Diluc saving you, always. It always made you curious, especially since you had a secret crush on him but you could never admit it.
"Someone had to protect you from danger" says Diluc and it made your heart flutter just from those words.
"B-But Katheryne could have inform anyone... Why is it always you? Do you... Like me or something?" You ask.
"I do like you" says Diluc as he turn around to face you.
Your eyes widen and you slowly feel your cheeks turning red.
"I- W-Wow... I didn't expect it... M-Master Diluc, I actually like you too!" You confess with your redden cheeks and Diluc lets out a soft chuckle which you thought it looked really soft on him.
"I've always known" says Diluc as he stretches out his hand.
"E-Ehh?"
"Let's go" Diluc grabs your hand and the two of you head back to Mondstadt together while you kept pestering on how he knew.
Guess today's S rank commission isn't so bad after right? You did not complete the mission alone but at least you gain yourself a boyfriend.
