"Sorry I'm late! I got held... Up..." You stop when you did not expect to see him.
"Y/N!"
You remove your eyes from him as you take a seat beside your friend. Your friend had invited you over to join the Class Gathering.
Though you didn't want to but Collei's mother wouldn't allow her to be alone so you had no choice but to tag along.
"Did you even know he was going to be there?" You ask.
"I swear I didn't" You sigh.
Through out the gathering, you desperately avoided eye contact with him. When it was all over, Collei headed out with her crush Tighnari.
"Y/N" You freeze when he called you.
"I-I got to go" You said but Cyno held you back.
"Y/N, can we talk?" You sigh.
Memories begin to get back to you. Those happy, those sad, those... Painful memories of when you dated Cyno.
You and Cyno started dating during your Sophomore year. It was all going well until something terrible happen. And that the incident had traumatized you.
At the same time, the incident had caused you and Cyno's relationship to fall apart. All because he didn't trust you...
It's been 3 years since the two of you broke up. You totally was not expecting to reunite with Cyno. Not wanting to face him, you yank off Cyno's hand.
"I'm busy so I best be off" You said and quickly walk away but Cyno ends up in front of you.
"Y/N! Listen, I was wrong" Your heart pricked.
"I'm so sorry... I'm sorry I did not believe you" Your tears were threatening to spill.
"I heard the story from Collei and Tighnari. It's my fault. I'm sorry I didn't believe you"
"It's too late..." You mumble.
"Y/N, I—"
"Y/N" Your ears perk as you quickly wipe away the tears which were threatening to spill.
"Alhaitham!" You ignored Cyno's desperate look as you turn around and rush into your boyfriend's arms.
"What were you talking about?" He ask.
"Nothing of importance. Let's go. I'm tired" You said.
You got into your boyfriend's car and you left, not even turning back to look at Cyno.
Cyno watch you ran into another man's arms and left in another man's car. He was not liking it. But he couldn't do anything to regain her trust back.
"Y/N..."
It was his fault after all. He only came to know the truth after Tighnari and Collei told him. He was wrong all along.
His girl was innocent. His girl was hurt. But because of him, he broke their relationship and mow, she was happy in another man's arm.
Cyno sighs as he quietly walks away into the night as he tries his best to move on.
