[With reference to Fruits Basket, in this story, the Sohma's family curse is being put to the whole of Teyvat where some are cursed to turn into certain animals]

Gorou is supposedly an ordinary human being. But on his 5th birthday he was cursed and now he turns into a golden furred dog, a golden retriever. It will happen when he's sick or if he hug the opposite gender. The curse differs for different people.
Gorou has had enough of this kind of life. But to break this curse, he would have to find his true love. This was a problem. The world is so vast and so huge, how could he possibly find his true love?
"Grrr, it's not like he or she would fall from the sky" He groans.
"Who would fall from the sky?" You question, startling the heck out of him.
"Don't scare me like that Y/N!" Gorou scolds and you giggle.
You were Gorou's best friend who is completely human. No, you are not his true love but there was once where the two of you accidentally kissed but his curse stayed.
"Ahahah. So! Any luck finding your true love yet?" You ask.
"Y/N, it's not easy. The world is so big! How do you expect me to find?" You giggle.
"Oi! Someone get the fish tank! Kokomi got turned into a fish again!" Your classmate yelled.
"Oh my, I'll get it!" You said and went to fill the fish tank with water and place your friend into the fish tank.
"Thanks Y/N! You're a life savior!" says Kokomi in her fish form and you chuckle.
You personally thought it was interesting how the people around you would sometime turn into various of different animals. You feel bad but you had thought it was funny.
Your class apparently had 6 cursed ones. Your best friend Gorou, and your classmates Kokomi, Kujou Sara (who would transform into a crow), Lumine and Keqing (turns into a cat) and Kaeya (turns into a peacock).
Later at lunch...
"Eh? Gorou?! Why are you in your animal form?!" You ask.
"Grr... I got hugged by a random girl" says Gorou as he walks onto your lap.
"Heh, but at least I can cuddle you now!" You said and snuggle onto his back, causing him to blush heavily.
"T-That's embarrassing Y/N!!" Gorou tries to wiggle his way out but you simply continue to hug him.
He groan after he gave up struggling. He was rather starting to like the warmth that you were radiating out. He take a few glances and a sudden thought came to him.
'Was Y/N always this pretty?'
"Hey Y/N" Gorou calls and you reply with a 'hm?'
"Can we... Umm... Kiss?" You spit out your water, scaring the heck out of Gorou.
"*cough* *cough* W-What did you say??" You ask.
"N-Nevermind!" Gorou blushes hard as he quickly runs away from you.
Later at the end of the day, Gorou had already turn back into a human and he was now walking home with you like always. But the atmosphere was a little awkward due to the incident during lunch break.
"Gorou" You suddenly call out.
"Y-Yeah? You called?"
"Do you like me?" You ask and Gorou was blushing heavily.
"H-Huh?! I mean you're my friend so" You shake your head.
"I mean... Do you like me like me?" You ask again and Gorou freeze up and all of a sudden, the memories of the two of you suddenly came in.
The memories of the two of them, it's always really bright around you. His place his hand on his chest and his heart started beating at a fast pace.
"Gorou?" He snap out of his daydream.
"Did you hear me? I said where do you-"
"Yes... I do like you Y/N" says Gorou and you were a little confuse.
"Huh? Oookay? What's with the sudden confession?" You ask.
"You ask if I liked you so... I do like you like you" says Gorou and your eyes widen.
"Thanks Gorou... I didn't say anything about asking you but... You took the words right out of my mouth... I've been liking for a long time" You said with a smile.
"Then... Can I kiss you?" He ask softly. You smile and crash your lips onto Gorou's.
The next day, Gorou smiles at himself. His curse was broken. And how does he know? The curse mark on his body is gone. He was finally free from the curse. Guess it had always been you, though he did not understand why it didn't break when you two were younger.
"Gorou! Let's go!!" You yelled from outside Gorou's home.
"Coming! Don't disturb the neighbours geez!" says Gorou as he heads out to meet you as the two of you head out for your date.
