You woke up from your slumber when you felt the sun shining right at you. You blush upon remembering last night's event when you realized you were still naked under the sheets.
You look around but your husband, Dainsleif was nowhere to be found. Nonetheless you quickly get change and left the bedroom and you see Dainsleif making breakfast.
You smile and went to hug his waist since he was pretty tall. Dainsleif chuckles which made you shiver upon hearing his deep voice.
"Morning Y/N. Breakfast is almost ready" He says.
You nodded and went to the table and waited for the food. After enjoying your breakfast, Dainsleif headed out for his job while you stayed at home.
It was your normal routine and you never complain as you enjoy your time with Dainsleif. But little did you know you two would soon face a major change...

"Y/N!" Dainsleif yelled as he held you close to him.
"D-Dain..." Your vision was getting blulrry.
Everything happened so fast. You turn slowly towards the window. Your beautiful home, Khaenri'ah was on the verge of getting destroyed.
"Shh, don't talk. I will find you a Doctor" says Dain as he carries you bridal and headed outside.
The country was now close to perishing in flames.
"Those Archons will pay" says Dainsleif as he held you tightly close to him.
He ran through the smoke and fire but your condition was getting worse. Especially since you have always been a sickly girl. You were coughing hard to which Dainsleif finally stops to check on you.
"You alright Y/N?" He ask.
"Dain... W-What about the *cough* palace?" You ask weakly.
"I can't leave you here alone" says Dain and you cough harder but this time spitting out blood.
"Y/N!"
"D-Dain... You should leave..." You said, not wanting to burden him.
"Stay strong. I will save you, I promise" says Dainsleif as he frantically look around but you simply pull him close till your forehead touches his.
"We will meet again... In a distant future... I... Love you so much Dain" You said weakly.
"Y/N..." You gave a weak smile before you closed your eyes for eternity.

500 years after the destruction of Khaenri'ah, Dainsleif had been roaming around Teyvat for a long time. One day, he ends up in a bar in Mondstadt, where he was questioning the famous Traveler, Aether and his flying emergency food- I mean companion Paimon.
As the two were talking, the door to Angel's Share open and a familiar voice (to Dainsleif) spoek through the room.
"Hello Charles! Is a bard name Venti in here?" Dainsleif turn towards the voice and he saw you.
"Y/N?" He mumble and this doesn't go unnoticed.
After a moment you left Angel's Share and Dainsleif had the urge to follow you.
"Why were you staring at Y/N?" Paimon questions.
"She just, looks really familiar" Dainsleif simply says.
The next day, Dainsleif and Aether (plus Paimon) headed for Stormterror's Lair where he tells the two about the Ruin Guards and the history within Khaenri'ah.
"Aether! Paimon-chan!" A voice calls out.
It was you.
"What are you two doing here?" You had ask and you notice a tall, gorgeous-looking man beside them.
"Ahh sorry. Was I interrupting?" You ask softly.
"Not really but what brings you here Y/N? We heard you were suppose to be at Dragonspine for a commission" says Paimon.
"Ah I've taken care of it already. Anyway, I don't suppose you happen to have seen Venti right?" You ask.
"Nope, haven't seen the Tone Deaf Bard" says Paimon and Aether shakes his head and you sigh.
"Alright then. Thanks. Bye bye!" You said and as you leave, you take a look at the man beside the two.
You couldn't help but to feel a sense of familiarity. Especially those eyes of his. However you shake off the feeling as you leave Stormterror's Lair.
"She seems to be doing well..." Dainsleif mumbles when he notice a [Elemental] Vision hanging by your waist.
"What was that?"
"Nothing, we'll continue our conversation..."
Dainsleif decides that maybe it's best if he doesn't approach you since you most likely have lost your memories after being reborn.
"It's for the better" Dainsleif mumbles as he watches you talking to Venti from afar and you seemed so happy.
Though his heart aches, he choose to shut it off especially when it has been too long. He only wishes for you to be happy.
