1 Week Later...

11:57pm...

Aubree

"You usually sleep by this hour." I joked with Jas who only smiled, I could truly see the sleepy in her eyes.

"I want to be."

"You wanna lay down? I'll put you in one of Anthony's rooms, I'll tell Luke only." I suggested.

It seemed like she thought that was the perfect solution.

"Does it have a tv?" She questioned as she began gathering her things.

"I'll make sure it does."

"Can you get me some more meatballs? Chicken wings, mac and a separate bowl full of bleu cheese."

I smacked my lips, looking around but I couldn't find anyone to throw the task to.

"Shawn!" I damn near screamed, making him turn around with wide eyes.

I waved him over, laughing internally cause he seemed shook that I was even talking to him.

I don't know why they be thinking I don't know them. It ain't even that deep, like I'm a celebrity or some shit.

I'm the same nigga I've always been.

"Sir?"

"Can you make me a lil' plate?"

He scrunched up his face, "Like I'm your woman?... Matter fact, Ain't your woman here?"

I couldn't help but to laugh.

"It's for me." Jas intervened, still laughing.

"Oh, fashoo. What you want?" He questioned, a complete change in his energy.

"Say fuck you." I got offended as everyone laughed.

"It ain't like that, you know that would come off a lil like we fuckin'." He put space between us.

"So what the fuck it mean for her?"

"Shittttt, long as Luke know it ain't nothin' I'm cool with it." He held up his hand.

"Get lost." I playfully waved him off.

"I'll be right back, though." He walked off.

"Thank you for inviting us, we're about to leave." Klutz' baby mama came up to me.

"Oh foreal? Damn, y'all had enough to eat and everything?" I questioned as I hugged her.

"We did. Thank you, Ace. You've relieved us of so much stress." She smiled.

"Let me know if you need anything, ever—" Her friend pushed her a little, encouraging her to speak up.

"Are you offering jobs? That's really what I need, to be able to provide for my kids without having to call anybody." She vented. "My family cut me off when I got pregnant with our first child. Klutz was the bread winner for a long time, I have never had to do anything. He just took care of everything and I just need to keep the income coming in, I have degrees, I have do almost anything."

I ain't say nothing, it caught me off guard cause she ain't strike me as the type to get down like this.

"Yeah? What do you have a Bachelors and higher in?" Aaliyah came out of nowhere, always rubbing that belly.

"Portia Horrenso, Klutz' fiancé. This is my wife, Aaliyah Alonsso." I introduced them.

Aaliyah came over on a high horse but that immediately dropped when she heard who she is.
