Sept 22nd
12:45pm...

Aaliyah

I sat in a new wing spot with Jas and Adelynn, waiting on Arianna.

"What's been going on?!" She asked as I fed Adelynn some fries.

"You know how it can get." I rolled my eyes.

"How what can get? Y'all just got married." She laughed.

I shrugged, not really sure why we were arguing so hard either.

"Aaliyah... Are you being mean to Aubree because you got beat up?" She questioned.

"What? No! I'm grateful for him—"

"No one said you aren't... but, stop being so angry." She cut me off. "Smoke some weed, get some tattoos, buy a new vehicle... Do whatever you want, you don't have to be a good girl anymore." She smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, Jas."

"Bitch, you're already giving me Beth in her drug lord prime vibes." She laughed.

"Beth?" I questioned.

"From Good Girls."

I smacked my lips, "Leave me alone."

We made small talk and messed on our phones until Jas called my name again, making me look up.

"Do you think I do enough for the family?" She randomly asked.

"What do you mean?" I was now curious.

"I mean... you're like fuckin' top Human Resources to the family." She said, making me laugh. "Seriously, Luke comes home and over an evening he'll mention like 2 things you improved with the business that now help him with daily operations—"

"Jas I can show you everything I've learned and—"

"I don't want to learn that though, Li. You know it already. You've taken information from all the businesses and no one has the knowledge that you do. That's what I want... I want to actually play a vital role." She expressed.

I sighed, not knowing what to say.

"I have something in mind." I lied.
"Let me talk to Aubree, I'll let you know something solid after that."

"I'll leave you with your thoughts." She smiled, knowing I was honestly going to figure something out.

"Jas, we're really tied into this lifestyle now. There's no backing out. So, find something to do." I told her... honestly.

She laughed, "Decades from now they'll have our names on Wikipedia."

"I hope they use a bad ass picture of us." I laughed as I got Adelynn out of the high chair since she was antsy.

"Definitely in black and white like these were ancient times." She laughed.

The restaurant was pretty much empty at this moment so I let Addie walk around near us as I assisted her.
