Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

August 8, 2022.

Madison Stone's Point Of View.

"Good morning class! My name is Alexander Wilson and I am your history teacher.. uhmm, I think you all here know me." The teacher talks and looks at everyone to probaly see if there is someone new in the class.

"Teacher, she is new." Ashley tells and points at me making the teacher and the rest of the class look at me.

"Oh, it's true. Thank you for letting me know," he smiles at Ashley and walks towards us, stopping right in front of me. "What is your name, pretty girl?"

"My name is Madison Stone."

"What a beautiful name. Suits you," he says and smiles at me, being returned by my awkward smile.

"Thank you."

"Oh, since you are new, I will explain, because sometimes you can get it wrong.. I like to praise and boost my students' self-esteem. Isn't that right, class?" He asks and the class agrees. "See? I like to treat my students well. So if I praise you or something like that, do not be surprised."

"Okay-y.." I say and he smiles at me, but then goes back to the front of the room so he can start teaching his class.

I pull back my wallet a little and gesture with my hand to Ashley, beckoning her to come closer.

When she puts her desk and face further forward, I tilt my neck back a little and ask in a low tone so as not to disturb the class. "You have been studying at this school for a while, haven't you?"

"Yes, why?" She also answers in a low tone.

"Because I wanted to know if this teacher is cool."

"Oh, I can not tell you that, because last year I did not have a class with him. He and I only met by sight. So let's find out together," she says and giggles a little.

"Okay then... let's figure it out together," I say smiling and return my neck to its normal position, returning to paying attention to the class.

Some time later...

"When David showed you around the school, did he introduce you to the school groups?" Ashley asks as we walk with our trays down the cafeteria aisle looking for a place to sit.

"No, he didn't."

"Then I will do it." She speaks and then immediately points to a table. "That is the group of nerds. I don't have much to say about them, I can only say that they are very smart."

"Okay."

She looks to the side and points to another group, "That is the gossip group, really, they love to investigate other students' lives to spread rumors around the school."

"Serious?"

"Yeah, so if you are going to do something that might cause some controversy here, be careful they don't see it and spread it around."

"Have they spread any rumors about you yet?" I ask and she denies it.

"No, but they already spread it about my friends."

"Got it."

She keeps talking about the other groups at school, until when we're getting close to the table David is at, she says "And that's my group."

"Are you part of his group?"

"Yes, I am. Our circle of closest people is basically the football team and the cheerleading squad, which I am a part of, and if you want, I ask them to put you in as well. But to be honest, the only people I really consider my friends are David, Ryan, Andrey and maybe in time, I will consider you too." She says the last sentence looking at me and I agree, because nowadays it's hard enough to consider someone you've lived with for years as friend, imagine a person you have just met.

"Girls, here!" David see and calls us.

He points to the table where he and a few other people who are with him are sitting, indicating that we were supposed to sit there with them.

"Apparently Ashley and Madison have already met. Sit down girls," he says when we get closer and we do as he says, setting our trays of lunch on the table. "Guys, let me introduce you to Madison. Emily, Ryan and Andrey, this is Madison, she's new here at school."

"Hi," I say and am answered with another three "Hi."

"And Madison, this is Andrey Butler." He introduces me to the boy with light brown hair and blue eyes, who looks me in the back of my eyes and gives me a smile out of the corner of his mouth. "This is Ryan Parker." He says and I look at the brown-eyed dark boy, who nods at me. "And last but not even important, this is Emily Webster. My girlfriend." He talks and the girl with the light brown hair and green eyes look at me smiling.

"Which school were you from, Madison?" Emily asks.

"Justice High School."

"It is a good school?" She asks one more question and picks up her glass of juice, taking a sip of it.

"Yes, it is a great school, I only left because they said this school is better." I answer her question and add a little more, already saying the reason why I left there.

"Did you enjoy studying there?" And now who asks me a question is Andrey.

"Yes, I did. I got along with most people there, I had a lot of friends, I was cheerleader, I was part of the student body and stuff.. I was happy there."

"If you want to be one of the cheerleaders on our school's team, you can apply and I will put you on the team. Andrey's cheerleader dropped out of school, so you can take her place," Emily suggests. "Isn't it Andrey?" She asks her friend, who first finishes eating what he was eating and then answers.

"Of course, it would be a pleasure to have you as my cheerleader," he says looking at me and I get lost for a few seconds in his attractive blue eyes.

If there's one thing I noticed in my first few hours studying at this school, it is that there are a lot of pretty boys here.

"Then it's done! After your last class, you go up to the school's indoor court, sign up to be Andrey's cheerleader and I will put you on the team," And I agree with what Emily says.

"If you want, I will go with you Madison. Since I am also one of the cheerleaders and we are going to start rehearsing for the homecoming game back to school." Ashley offers to help me and I am glad she did.

"I want Ashley. Thank you," I answer her and go eat my lunch, which is practically intact, just like the boys and girls are doing.
