Mellie was 7 when she joined the circus as a runaway. She had gotten on the train while it was heading to the next spot, and was only found when they were getting things from the train to set up the tents. She came to love and trust the other performers, trying almost every act that had to do with balance and landing on unicycling. She was the person to notice Finch hadn't left after the place closed, and comforted the upset boy until they could find an adult and figure things out.
Mellie has synesthesia (specifically colored hearing) and usually sits after the shows and describes what colors and patterns the music was, Voi is like the cool older sister to all the minors who sneaks them the things they shouldn't have (Spray paint, alcohol, cigarettes- whatever they ask for),
