It had been that time of the month where James and Elizabeth had their dinner together whilst Hazel and Jazmine had to watch and serve. The two woman both hated it. The tension was thick which made them uncomfortable, there was a lot more to it, but they still had to be there.

Jazmine looked over at Hazel, pursing her lips as Hazel smiled softly at the younger woman. They couldn't really talk to each other because James and Elizabeth were trying to make poor conversation so they would've interrupted, they would've gotten in trouble.

James took his dinners with Elizabeth seriously. Anyone knew that.

"Hazel, some more wine." Elizabeth spoke, Hazel snapped back to reality and pour the woman some wine. Jazmine could've scoffed, she was here to do absolutely nothing. James hadn't asked Jazmine to do anything and Elizabeth didn't even bat an eyelash her way. So she was standing there, like a statue.

Jazmine stared at James' face, she didn't know if it was out of admiration or anger, it was probably both. But all she could do was stare, James always held a smile when he was with Elizabeth. He never tried to seem upset or out of the ordinary. He acted as if everything was okay, that he was living with no problems but he was dying without Elizabeth by his side.

James felt eyes on him, he didn't bother looking her way though. He knew that it was Jazmine, they hadn't talked in a while and he knew that. He just didn't know what to say to her.

Before Jazmine knew it, the dinner was over. Jazmine finally was able to move and talk whilst she helped Hazel grab the plates and wine glasses. "Today was eventful." Jazmine said sarcastically, Hazel chuckled. "I could've stayed in my room or hung out with Liz, Sally, or Iris." Jazmine listed off her options. Hazel only sighed, she knew that Jazmine was right, the girl could've been doing something totally different but instead she had to watch and stand still.

"I'm sorry, dear." The older woman spoke softly. "No, it's not your fault." Jazmine shook her head and smiled softly at the woman. Hazel was going to reply but the door had opened, gaining both of their attention.

James had entered the room once again which made them confused because by now, he'd usually would be trying to get more time with Elizabeth.

"Ms. Evers, could I have a moment with Ms. Laurie?" He spoke and instant nervousness took over Jazmine's body. The feeling definitely wasn't new, it was just that she had felt nervous in a while.

"Of course, sir." Hazel nodded as she quickly exited the room.

Jazmine tried acting like his presence didn't phase her, so she grabbed a spray bottle and started praying the table.

"Jazmine." James spoke, her eyes darted up to him but quickly darted back down once she noticed his gaze wasn't welcoming. "Mr. March." She said back, quietly.

She really wanted to reply with 'what did I do now?'  but she didn't have the guys for that. He was a psychopath and she was very aware. Even if she was dead she wouldn't have wanted to be in harm of him.

"I'm firing you, my dear. Ms. Evers gets the job done whereas you are trying to kill yourself and get others to safety. I don't find you very...helpful anymore." He said.

If only he could've told her this before she died, she would've never been in this hotel for eternity.

Something had changed though, she didn't feel her tears burning with tears, her hands weren't shaking sweating in regret or fear. She felt angry.

"Good." Jazmine let the words slip from her mouth, a flicker of fear hit her for a split second, but then she remembered that James wasn't her boss anymore. Yet she still kept reminding herself that the man across from her is a murderer.

But now she could finally hang out with Liz, Sally, and Iris. She could roam the walls at whatever hour she wanted, she was able to lay down instead of cleaning up after other people.

She had time to find her purpose.

"I don't think it's best to use that tone with me." James spoke, Jazmine scoffed. She had been wanting him to see her as someone so bad, all these years and he still treats her like shit, like she was a puppy who had to obey everyone rule.

He said one small thing, and that changed the way she saw him.

"You're not my boss anymore, James. You're just another ghost in this hotel." Jazmine said as she threw the spray bottle and towel onto the table then stormed out of the room.

Jazmine was proud of herself, yet she still felt some sort of sadness.

Why though?

She was free from his grasp, but yet she somehow wanted to be in his grasp?

Jazmine wondered if they'd interact with each other after this. They only had to interact because he was her boss and she was his maid, but now that things had changed, she couldn't help but think if they would the way they view each other as acquaintances or if they would act like they both didn't exist to each other.

The woman couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing, either way, she was hoping to find herself, to find her worth, to find her purpose.
