"That's the only possible way. And because you've filed for the divorce before this case, he's not your husband anymore." The annoyance that stirred inside her at the statement was unmatchable as she frowned at the thought."You're a lawyer. It's your job to figure out a way. Do whatever you have to do but I want it done."
The lawyer signed tiredly after telling the woman that what she wanted not possible.
"Why do you even want to do it?" The man asked.
Her eyes snapped toward the short man and she narrowed her eyes at the audacity of his question.
"It's none of your business." She seethed.
"Well it is actually, when you're demanding for a full fledged security system to watch over your husband, no?" He snapped. He didn't even know why he would even need one, when she filed the request he though it was for herself. But no, miss stubborn here wants it for her husband who she's going to divorce.
"He will need it. His limbish quack like bodyguards will fly away like a mosquito when they get even the slightest sense of being in danger. I know them personally so make sure you pass this request or else you'll have to see yourself on the street." She said and left the room.
He banged his head on the table as he signed. He can never win her.
Patralekha strode towards the balcony on the far end of her office hallways. It's on the 10th floor so she gets the view of the whole city when she stands here. It's serene and peaceful. The chilly winter that passed through her told her about the upcoming winter. She inhaled deeply, her senses filing with the familiar smell of the winter. She loves this smell, it brings back... memories.
She pulled out her cigar and lit it up, not wanting to dwell on the past anymore as her fingers shook slightly from the chill. But she stayed uproot not wanting to move away. The nicotine mixed with her blood and gave her a second of adrenaline that she needed. Her plump lips parted as she watched the smoke coming out of her. The city lights reflected back at her orbs as she silently stared at the scene. It was almost 11 so everyone was already home. Her eyes involuntarily moved toward her Apple Watch as she read the time. 11:50. Almost midnight, and his birthday. Her mind itched her to go to him for tonight. But she held that insane woman back. Her mind struggling against her heart. And she to be honest was terrified of her heart. It's reckless, fearless and obsessed with the man called Maaz. It can do anything for him. But not her mind, she knew it didn't deserve a wreck of a woman like her.
She's worthless, selfish, crazy and a terrible person. For everyone but him, she's someone who parents warns their children about. She's a toxic person and she acknowledges it. She doesn't even care anymore. She just lets people think whatever they want to think.
It's his birthday. You can watch him from afar.
Her heart argued with her mind as she felt her self control slipping away. It was always very fragile when it comes to him.
