The warmth and the seeping coldness spreaded across the country was actually the family's favorite season. The November cold weather is pleasant and full of memories for them. The table was filled with the members of Hamdani family who were chitchatting among one another.
"Yaar lala kaha hai?" Elham pouted, cutting a piece of nan and dipping it in the raita.
"Where do you think?" Saya's mischief was quite prominent as she mumbled softly. So that only they can hear. Her mother will turn into an angry bear if she hears anything about her ladla.
Elham giggled and Araf who had a big ear out, he put his hand across Elham's back as he leaned in. His youthful eyes shining with joy, his pearl white full on display. Elham stiffened up.
"Hai na!! Bhabi ke sath ek din keya gujarli, Mr. punctual toh late ho gaya!" He giggled as saya rolled her eyes. But his smile was so contagious that she couldn't help but chuckle at the little monkeys expression.
"Yaar Mujhe toh yeh samajh nahi aata ki lala ko Eira kaise mil gayi? Hai toh polar opposite dono." Jahangir said thoughtfully.
Araf sighed, looking up as if he's tired from carrying the one to explain everything to everyone.
"Qismat bhaiya, yeh hai qismat ka khel." He said dramatically.
"Oye qismat ke bacche, Agar tune aaj woh project submit nahi kiya na, toh dekh lena, tere qismat mein keya likkha hai woh bhi pata chal jayega." Jahangir threaten the baby of the house who's face suddenly lost all its color.
"Ji bhaiya." He mumbled going back to eat his paratha, sadly.
"Mustafa Arsalan ko jake utha do na! Usne aur Eira ne kuch nahi khaiye." Kaina said worried sick about the couple who seemed to disappear somewhere.
"Let them be jaan." Came Mustafa's brilliant solution as Kaina mimicked him. Snickering at him while the family laughed. Just then the view they were waiting for graced their eyes.
There they were, the new couple who were coming downstairs with Eira's hands clutched between Arsalan's as he dragged her down gently. The Maroon joda was making her look like an innocent little bride while Arsalan's black suit with the perfectly gelled back hair was giving off his vibe. His hazel eyes went toward everyone as he smiled a little bit. Eira's head was ducked down but she shot all of them a beautiful smile which got her everyone's smile back. She tried pulling her hands back but even the family could see how much the girl was struggling because her physique is like a mouse next to Arsalan's.
"Sajeka." Akifah's gibberish grabbed Eira's attention as she rushed toward her as soon as she got down. Saying her salam to everyone she took the baby from Bibijaan's arms. One night without her feels like a pain she never wanna imagine. She was missing her soft body badly but her husband kept her mind busy throughout the night. Speaking of husband she lifted her head and looked toward him. To see him staring at her.
She blushed and went back to his side, akifah grabbed her cheeks as she kissed her face with her little mouth. Eira chuckled sitting on the chair beside him which he pulled out for her. Akifah grabbed a bunch of Eira's hair and pulled it. Eira wasn't prepared so she let out a squeaky voice while trying to pull out her hair gently from her fists.
She didn't had to try longer because a strong hand passed between her and the baby and his hands picked up akifah from her lap. In the process his hands brushed against her chest as she stiffened.
Akifah let out a happy scream when her grey eyes fell on their most favorite person. She grabbed his lapels as she cooed. Arsalan's eyes noticeably calmed down as he caressed her cheeks. She kept her head on his shoulders and Arsalan rubbed her back. The whole family was watching the scene unfold with a smile on their face as the chattering started again.
