Aria (Gray x OC)

Mellodi's heart fluttered at the sound of the excited applause, consuming the atmosphere as she overlooked the crowd of mages from the wooden platform. A wide smile stretched across her face as she leaned into the microphone, shouting, "Thank you!"

Hesitantly, she stumbled BACK to behind the stage. She was bubbling with happiness and her grin stretched from ear to ear. Mirajane greeted her again backstage, clasping her hands within the magenta-haired girls' as she complimented her performance. Then, she began to tug on her wrist, pulling her through the back hall and towards the grand area of the guild building. "Come on, let's go listen to what they have to say about you!"

Yet, before they reached the guild hall, a figure was leaning on the wall, seeming to be WAITING. Upon seeing the two young woman hurrying down the hall, he stood up straight, wearing a wide smile. "Yo, Mellodi!"

Gray lifted a hand in a casual fashion as the other was behind his head.

Mellodi beamed. "Oh, hey!"

"Great JOB." He said. "You were great up there."

She grinned. "I had a blast."

"I can see that. You'll perform for us again sometime right?"

"Of course!" She didn't hesitate to answer happily.

"Does that mean -"

Mirajane interrupted him. "Mellodi, you have fans to meet! Gray can WAIT."

"Hey!" He retorted.

Nonetheless, the silver-haired girl tugged Mellodi away. She turned and waved, and then was dragged into the festivities of the grand hall, away from the young man's sight.

A young, blonde girl accompanied by an even younger, dark-haired girl standing among the shortest of those in the hall approached Mellodi. They're smiles were bright as they happily greeted the performer. YOUR name is Mellodi, right?" The blonde asked. "I don't think we've ever had someone from outside the guild come and perform for us. You're really great!"

THANK you! It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad you all seemed to enjoy it."

"It was really beautiful, Miss Farryn." The younger girl commented with a sparkle in her dark brown eyes.

"You make me sound like an old person." Mellodi chuckled. "Just 'Mellodi' is fine."

"You're a mage, right?" She curvaceous blonde mentioned. "Are you planning on JOINING Fairy Tail?"

The musician's mouth quivered upon hearing the reference of being a mage. "Well, I'm not really a mage..."

"Of course you are!" The small girl said. "You can feel YOUR magic power. Why don't you join us? I promise it's fantastic."

"Wendy's right." The taller, blonde girl AGREED. "We would love to have you. I mean, just look at everyone who loved your music."

She sighed, but still grinned. "I guess I'll think about it."

"My name is 'Lucy,' by the way. If you ever consider joining Fairy Tail, you can always ask me any questions you have." She tilted her head and wore a welcoming smile. "It'd be great to have a talent like you among us."

"Mm...THANK you for your kindness. I think I'll take you up on your offer sometime." Mellodi said. "You all are a great audience — the best I've gotten to perform for."

Just then, a few others tapped on Mellodi's shoulder, drawing her away from Lucy and the young girl called 'Wendy.' They, too, OFFERED kind and encouraging words, and occasionally, she got the question of whether or not she would join the guild, in which she tended to just nod off the topic.
