Aria (Gray x OC)

A pool of blood quickly formed around Byron's fallen body, trickling into the ice. But his dark orbs were flaming with anger, unlike the rest of his limp body. "How..." His voice trailed weakly, clearly surprised by their sudden visitor.

Mellodi's wrists were finally freed, but her weak knees didn't support her as she fell into sturdy arms.

She was greeted with kind blue eyes and a warm smile that made the girl's heart flutter. "Gray..." She whispered, flooded with relief upon seeing him again.

Meanwhile, Byron pushed himself to his knees, clearly suffering from Gray's attack. When the Ice Mages exchanged glares, he lunged at the young man with the girl in his arms.

Gray lifted a hand and a shield of ice formed in front of them as Byron charged. They expected they would be safe, but as soon as his large fist hit the ice, it shattered.

Thinking in the moment, Gray released Mellodi, keeping her from being hit as he took the attack, his body being propelled to the other side of the room. A stream of blood trailed down his chin, which only angered him further.

Byron was clearly struggling to control himself as shards of ice protruded from his body, making him look like a beast.

Another fist was targeted at Gray, who lifted a hand to block the attack. He caught the fist, but the sheer power of the punch forced his back further into the rocky wall of where Byron had kept Mellodi. The wall cracked as though a meteor had pounded into it.

Blood oozed from Gray's palm and Byron swung his other icy fist, only to be caught by Gray's other hand.

"You think you can beat me that way?!" The man with the ice-colored hair growled bitterly. "Your magic is useless." He spat as he used his own magic to create ice, encompassing Gray's hands.

"I don't give a crap." Gray retorted, equally as angry.

Byron kneed the Fairy Tail mage in the stomach and he fell to his knees, coughing up blood. Watching the scene, where Gray was being physically beaten by the vicious man, Mellodi's heart cringed with pain. She attempted to cast a spell, to use her air manipulation magic to restrain the man and allow Gray to inflict some kind of damage.

But as soon as she tried, the parasitic mark that Byron left on her neck erupted with pain.

Her knees collapsed weekly and she clutched her neck. Catching sight of her situation, Gray used all of his strength to toss Byron aside and dash towards the girl. "Mello-" As soon as he began, he was forced into the ice-covered ground.

"As long as she has that, she can't use that annoying magic." Byron grinned devilishly. "You two have no hope."

Cringing with pain, both Fairy Tail mages glared at their enemy. In unison, they growled, "Like hell!"

With a triumphant push, Gray threw Byron off of him and reached for the girl, catching her hand with his. Their fingers intertwined tightly, and the glance they shared told Mellodi that needed to trust him.

She nodded slightly, and the boy brought her closer to his body. Their guild marks that the bared with pride touched each other's as their chests pressed against one another's. It felt as though their hearts beat as one and they could feel each other's magic resonating within their veins. The sensation was indescribable.

Mellodi felt shivers down her spine as she and Gray shouted together, "Unison Raid!"

A flurry of icicles manifested in the air, all pointed towards Byron. The air around them changed, and all three mages could feel the difference. Mellodi and Gray became encircled with a vortex of invisible, distorted air, which also laced each icicle.
